  1. That sure is a lot of posts in such a short time. I would have more myself but I'm too busy working and hardly have time to play my games, much less posting here, but I do what I can.
  2. I'd have to say that the Exile series are my favorite games.
  3. The library 'wisp' I am guessing was a mistake when the game was made. Evil priests are automatically enemies and when Jeff put one in a town he forgot to reset the guy's attitude, making him fight you. If you charm him (it may take more than once) as soon as you enter, he will not attack and will also talk to you. Weird.
  4. But if you're really curious. There's a man in the bar in New Cotra. Talk to him a while, he will eventually say that he has a boat. Buy it from him. Walk to the south end of town then head east to the coast and you'll find your boat.
  5. Does your party have only one NPC like my party. I've maxed out on all of my levels and only used the editor for gold when I first started out, now I don't even use it.
  6. I think that you mean the Slith Temple beyond the swamplands northwest of Fort Dranlon. As for the portculis', I haven't the foggiest idea. Sorry.
  7. A1- Boat from Northern Islands to the west then south. A2- Code found near my tower behind secret passage. A3- Either defeat the slimes or the cockroaches to be able to enter. Erika was a good friend of mine. May she rest in pieces in an ash-tray.
  8. There's a worker in the mess hall of the complex. Ask him about Borgia Toadstools and he'll tell you to check the cabinet. You can now obtain the toadstools.
  9. Maybe a crazed wizard like Linda to kill. Or the Empire/Avernum war again. Or some big powerful Adze-Haakai. Or, even better, all three.
  10. If you played Exile 1, then the lands known as the Abyss and the caves surrounding Garzahd's Castle (including the swamp cave north of Erika's Tower) can not be entered. The two exceptions are the immediate area around Garzahd's Castle and around Ornotho Ziggurat.
  11. I always find that talking to my enemies before I kill them makes it more enjoyable to me in the end when their blood covers the ground.
  12. I never knew why that was, so I just bought fine meal from the surface and sold it in Upper Avernum. Made quite a penny doing that too.
  13. Boat from Silvar. Silvar to Limoncelli. Limoncelli to evidence. Evidence to Vahnatai Council. Council to Crystal Soul. Crystal Soul to Crystal Shrine. Crystal Shrine to Council. Council to Garzahd. Kill Garzahd. Man I wish it was really that simple.
  14. There isn't much outside the throne room except barterable items, but enough monsters to maybe gain a level.
  15. You do use it at the first door in the Final Guantlet. The bad thing is that you will never find the code to bypass the guards.
  16. The woman you are lookin' for is in the northwest corner of Fort Draco. If you enter the westernmost shop in the north, search the west wall for secret doors. When you find it go north and open the door that you'll find. The woman inside is Phyllea. She won't talk to you unless you say the name 'Corthath'. Then she only says that he crossed the bridge west of Fort Draco and headed south. Go over the bridge, head south until you find a hut/special by a pond. If your mage knowledge is high enough you can find the recipe for Graymold Salve. Oh, by the way, Corthath probably got killed in the battle that occured to the north of the hut. Just a guess. I hope that this information helps.
  17. It was the left Crystal Soul to whom it may concern. I really don't care about the Vahnatai... (insert colorful word here) ...with a passion.
  18. If ya'll don't mind if I say something, I liked Exile for the variety of spells and the randomness. But I also like Avernum for the graphics and the spell upgrades. Each type of game has it's good and bad points.
  19. Instead of spending the excess cash, I know a needy soul...(insert noted cough)... who needs a little bit of cash.
  20. I'm pretty sure that evey major town, and a few others, has a healer in it.
  21. Patrick was with me when we faced Grah-Hoth. After that he built his tower.
  22. Well I guess I'd vote for Solberg. He faced the greatest demon of all, Grah-Hoth, twice. Was able to hold off the forces of Garzald from within his castle. Assisted three bands of adventurers in three different decades. Solberg is the greatest Archmage in Exile/Avernum.
