  1. We use fans a lot, along with our AC, allowing us to keep the AC on the low side. As for school, I only remember getting it off because of heat a few time, I may be wrong, but I think it has to get over 100 here in Indy, and the only AC in school I had was the computer room and principal's office, and two buildings in High School, one cause it contained the Deans, Councilors and admissions offices(basically all the administration), and the other was the Library, other than that, there were the occasional odd rooms with AC in the other buildings, for various reasons.

    I'm guessing you're referring to Leviathan or The Matter, Forme and Power of a Common Wealth Ecclesiasticall and Civil, by Thomas Hobbes, and not the book with the actual title of Leviathan written by Scott Westerfeld. I ask because I just recently read the latter and the second book in his series, Behemoth, and while I found them quite engaging, even though they're written for a younger audience, I would be surprised if they were considered enlightening.
  3. Evidence does not equal proof. Which has been the whole point of the conversation, I was merely adding Black Holes as another point of widely accepted "thing" with out irrefutable

    proof.

  4. Or you could just take my method, be a really, really big guy. Course, that kind of depends on genetics, so, genetically enhance yourself to become a really, really big guy. Why stop there though, how about some retractable claws!

    You're delusional, breading is endangered, that's why my group has been lobbying congress to have it protected, but so far our efforts have been ignored.

    I ask the Spiderweb community to join with me and my fellow compatriots, we must stop the unrestrained harvesting of breading and crumb toppings before it is to late!
  6. My God Father/babysitter, when I was younger, was a hunter, so I've seen animals butchered for food, it never struck mr as that big a deal. I'd imagine that the amount of people who would turn away from eating meat if they had to butcher it themselves would be much fewer than most would imagine, especially if it was a necessity. The younger generations even more so.

  7. I was kind of surprised to find this not on here all ready, though I haven't any clue if there are mothers currently on these boards(I knew of one, but I haven't seen her on here for a while), but even if there isn't;

    Happy Mothers Day to any and all mothers here or elsewhere.

    Right, because Texas is the perfect roll model for raising kids, heck, look at their board of education and what they decide to put into their school books.

    Take a look at the Curriculum Controversies section

    No religous bias here!

    Never heard of these people before, but ...aught in Texas.

    Let's color history!

    I'm sure I can find plenty more if I put any effort into it.

  11. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the federal money given to Planned Parenthood goes to programs to help educate people to try and prevent unwanted pregnancy and STDs, as well as prenatal care for those who can't afford health insurance.
