Put the editor's executable file (.exe) into the data folder on it's own instead of in the folder it comes in.

Another time that happens to me is if I accidentally click on "Load a Saved Game" when I meant to click on "Save Game". Even if I just click cancel, saving won't work until I go back to the last time I saved.

I'd guess it's your computer. It's probably because you don't have an unzipping program. On my Mac, before I got an unzipping program, downloading zip files would never work. It always made some Amazing Trivia thing instead of the real download.

It's also a bit late to make the sequel.

I always write over previously saved files, and find that after a few saves, it stops working! When I load a saved game, it has me in a place that I saved in a LONG time ago. Is this supposed to happen, or is it a bug?

I like it... I don't think it's the least popular; the least popular is probably SubTerra or Galactic Core.
