  1. When I completed my unaligned playthrough I recall the ending mentioning that the Shaper Council had already heard most of what I was telling them. The shapers on Drypeak understand that the council is slow to move, dangerously so in this case, which is why they are more focused on slowing things down and on getting rid of the immediate largest threats, so that when the slow to move council finally acts it is not too late.
  2. Commons are in no position to question what a Shaper tells them to do. Does it seem to contradict long term Shaper policy? Maybe, but that is for Shapers to determine, not Commons. It is obvious from the conversations that many of the commons know that what they are doing is illegal. They also know that they had no choice but to follow orders and keep their head down. As Shanti says, the Shapers present unity, and they keep their disagreements internal. If shapers are publicly disagreeing or in opposition, that sucks for the commons because it shows that something very wrong is happening. Doesn't mean they can disobey the guys who summon dragons.
  3. Their leader assures me that they are a calm and thoughtful people who would not make such mistakes. So clearly we can give them essence and the means to create cannisters with no problems. There is no evidence to the contrary (because shapers destroyed all the evidence).
  4. I feel bad, because no matter how pro-servile I am in GF1, I always lie and tell her those notes are important (even knowing otherwise) just so that she will buy them. I don't even need money in that game, and I still do it.
  5. The closest to canon would be a unaligned character who kills everyone (basically what Litalia did). Although that is more the canon character screwing up, and then she gets sent and kills everyone except Ghaldring.
  6. That is I believe one of the fundamental problems with the Awakened ideology. They seek to be treated as equals and free beings by shapers. Unfortunately this cannot happen, because any shaper who would treat them as an equal and free being is no longer a shaper. Shapers cannot tolerate rogue creations, as the awakened ending demonstrates. There is no way for the shaper order to tolerate their existence unless forced to change into something unrecognizable other than symbols and usage of shaping magics (which is arguably where the shaper order is at during 5).
  7. What are the actual break points for canister use in endings? How many can you use while still being considered low? Does alteration have no effect like in the original?
