Curious Artila Travisbmoore Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 If you downloaded Linix mint you can use the programs tool to down load wine. It will run old spider web games. You may have to download some extras such as the 64 bit package and it will let you know what other wine pagage you need to download. But you can find all materials for wine and pagages that are self extracting and installed in linux mint 17 and so on. Quote
Garrulous Glaahk Nephil Thief Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Classic BoE (the open source version) should work, more or less, with almost any version of Wine. I use Linux almost exclusively, so yeah. Original BoE, and the Exile games, did not work last I tried. Used to be you needed to set the sysctl vm.mmap_min_addr to 65536 or less, so as to avoid breaking 16-bit support in Wine; now that doesn't seem to work either. Not sure what the issue is. One might do better using Windows XP in Virtualbox. Quote
