Fledgling Fyora fatcatx2l Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 When I try to download blades of exile, it tells me I need a username and password. Any idea what that is? Quote
Easygoing Eyebeast Zeviz Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Where are you trying to download it from? Quote
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 If you're downloading from Spiderweb's FTP server, try using "anonymous" as your username and your email address as your password. There should be a preference option in your browser that does this automatically for you, but if you only use FTP occasionally you don't really need to set it. Quote
Magnificent Ornk Drakefyre Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 You also may be trying to download the registered version. Try an http mirror from the download page if Thuryl's advice doesn't work. Quote
Easygoing Eyebeast ben4808 Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Also, your Internet settings may be set as which you need to be a certain person to download stuff. Quote
Fledgling Fyora fatcatx2l Posted July 25, 2005 Author Posted July 25, 2005 I got it to work, but I had to download it from explorer. apparently, it wouldn't download from firefox. Quote
Magnificent Ornk nikki. Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 If it was the registered version, I had the same problem. The email Jeff sends you, or which you recieve from SpidWeb if it isn't Jeff, states that you might need to use Internet Explorer. AOL didn't do it either. Quote
