Fulton's journal (possible spoilers)

Hello. I made a character named Fulton who is a shadow walker. I don't fully know what to expect, but I am going to try my hardest to role-play through this game. So far, I am not disappiointed, but I'm not that far. Think of this as a kind of diary for my character, so I will not be labeling the spoilers. I clearly marked the title of the thread, and I sincerely hope that, and this, is warning enough. I have been careful not to read other threads for the possible spoilers, so I can go through this fresh without a bias effecting my decisions.

 

So far, his favorite weapon is the Ninjy Star. He prefers lighter armor, the chainmails, and two handed weapons. He is not very subtle with his combat technique, and seeks to dispatch his foes as quickly as possible.

 

So, my first choice was between Sevilin and Nathalie. I chose Nathalie to help me clean out the dungeons, and I was very satisfied with both her enthusiasm and her abilities. However, I understand now why she has been passed up and overlooked. She is very impatient. I do not hold this against her, as I remember what it was like to be young once. When we left the dungeon I was satisfied with my choice, and glad I took the time to gauge her skill and mindset.

 

My next mission, into the Kva, I chose to take Sevilin and Jenel. Sevilin because he was from the Kva, and I felt it would be a huge advantage to bring a Hand with the home-field-advantage, so to speak. It was, I took Jenel to study her behavior in a land the opposite of her upbringing. While there was some back and fourth between Jenel and Sevilin, he stood his ground, and she knew her own limitations. I felt they worked well together as a group.

 

When I encountered The Wayfarer, I asked for his name. When he refused to give it, i shut down all communication. I will not contract with anyone that may be contrary to Avadon, and since he could not be honest with even his name, I refused to deal with him. Nothing he could offer is worth the integrity of being a Hand of Avadon!

 

For the excursion into the Khamira, I chose to take Shima and Jenel. It was a mission of secrecy and stealth, and I felt now was a good opportunity to study a fellow Shadow Walker. Shima did not disappoint, although I can't help but wonder about his motives for so openly divulging his life story, I was impressed more by his discretion.

 

This was also another chance for me to examine Jenel's behavior, this time in the land of her enemies. I can't help but agree with her about the Farlanders, and I am glad she did nothing to upset the mission for her own personal reasons. She is showing a lot of character in being able to control herself while surrounded by enemies.

 

I know that there is more to the wizard, and his arrival to kill the shadowbeast was his attempt to destroy evidence of his own misdeeds... however I lacked proof of his transgressions, and turned all information over to Heart Miranda. Perhaps she will examine the data and give me orders to cut his black heart out. Until I am given orders, I cannot act on my own tuition. Let the Farlanders suffer his existence for they deserve no less.

 

I met the Wayfarer again, and once again chose not to divulge any information to him, nor agree to any of his terms. I suspect my comrades may report on me to Heart Miranda as I report on them, and I will not work with anyone who may be an enemy of the Pact.

 

My next mission will take me to the Kva once again. I believe I will take Sevilin with me again, to fight for his homeland and perhaps come to terms with the Dragons. I will also be taking Nathalie along, to give her a chance to see the Dragon and understand that there is always something bigger, and wiser, than yourself. I suspect she is also prepared to dish out some pain to our foes, and will not balk at the chance to show off her talents.. I do not fancy the smell of burning ogre, but they are much more agreeable when they are dead.
