Isn't the town background babble also the same for the Geneforge series? I was under the impression that Jeff found a sound he thought worked and then just ran with it. Incidentally, sometimes in crowded places the background noise sounds exactly like that babble in the background of Spiderweb towns. That could just be because I've experienced Jeff's towns and now have the expectation that crowded areas may have that sound. In which case Spiderweb games have changed how I experience life.
