Curious Artila taltamir
The view is angled too low, sprites take up 2 squares, and trying to go to a square above a sprite is extremely difficult, it is likely to skip turn (click own character by accident), go to the wrong place, or attack a friendly... The game should only look at which SQUARE the mouse is pointed at not which sprite. I wish the combat path-finding was better too
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Believe me, everyone else is frustrated by this little feature too. Send an email to Spiderweb Software and maybe yours will be the one that finally convinces Jeff Vogel to do something about it.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
its peen problem long time, you get warning if you are hitting friendly char or skipping turn (latter can be turned off).

I don't get a warning for skipping a turn... I do have to click on self twice to skip turn (is that what you meant?)
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
you might have turned turn skipping warning off.

That's what was meant. If you look in the transcript window, you'll see a warning after the first click.

Oh that, ok that does help minimize chances of accidentally skipping turn, although I have still done so. Worse is when you accidentally move where you didn't intend to and lose the turn (due to nearby enemies or low action points remaining).
