Fledgling Fyora bat2com Posted January 8, 2013 Share Posted January 8, 2013 Hello everyone I'm new in the world of avernum, recently i bought this game and so far is very good One question that I have is, this special pedestals that gives you some improvement in some of the spells, how do they work? I touch them and they say something like, read the scroll bla bla to improve your health spell, so nothing happens after that and my spell is still called the same nothing changed and the amount of healing i do is the same as before, I'm i doing something wrong or what? Oh and another question the 6 crystal that i need are the blue ones or what kind of crystals need to the cave in the first part of the game? Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer Posted January 8, 2013 Share Posted January 8, 2013 The special pedestals should increase your ability to cast that spell by one level if you have enough arcane lore to learn it. On your character page there is a button to switch to see spells/abilities that should show the improvement. In some cases like healing you get a little more healing at level 2 and at level 3 you have a chance for regeneration too. The 6 crystals needed for the cave north of Cotra are listed as special items. The other crystals are to be sold or may be used to cast spells. Welcome to Spiderweb Software.
