Articulate Vlish Petoffen
I didn't look all that closely, but the graphics look like the same style. What are the improvements in the remake over the previous version? The site's description, the Steam decription, all seem to just desribe the game without reference to 'remake'. Chittering Clawbug Danny the Fool
It's a true remake in that it's the same story, more or less the same world, and so on, but (partially) re-designed, with new combat/character progress mechanics, and running on a new engine. The graphics are the same style as you wrote (that applies to all spiderweb games from the last 10 years or so), but they're not identical. Why don't you go and try the demo that you can download from here?
Unflappable Drayk Alex
The graphics are prettier. Before, the resolution was fixed at 800x600, of which a large part was devoted to the UI: Avernum in its first incarnation The skill system has been streamlined - you get fewer skillpoints, but you can add traits as you gain levels. Of course, these new traits are generally weaker than the old ones. Some new content, for example: Click to reveal.. A new starter dungeon - you start in a cavern below Fort Avernum. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
There's about 20% more dungeons and quests to do than the last version. Most major towns have a new level and there is completely new town.
Articulate Vlish Petoffen
Thanks for the responses. I'm really surprised the game description doesn't answer that. I'm gonna buy it.
