Geneforge fighting game

Recommended Posts

Well i was thinking about what an awesome game this would be, so i decided to share my idea.

3 character types, one that has lots of MP, HP, and can summon creations more frequently.

Sub types for strength of attacks, specials and creations.

You can summon creations to take damage and fight for you occasionally, they take your place until they die.

You use MP for special attacks.

Creations can use some special attacks with no or less MP cost.

Melee attack differs for each character and creation.

Special commands

Firebolt-files straight and inflicts low damage

Ice spray -firebolt level 2, more damage

Acid spray-flies straight but slow and poisons enemy if hit

Acid shower-acid spray level 2, flies faster, longer poison

Searer-flies straight and fast and poisones enemy

Daze-slows down enemy

Icy rain-starts to fall on a place and inflicts damage if enemy is on that area.

Strong daze-daze level 2,slows enemy even more

War blessing-increases damage

Protection-increases defence

Speed-increases speed

Battle roar-does all 3

Regeneration-self explanationary

Aura of Flames-makes a wide circle of fire around you that deals high damage.

Heal poison-self explanatory.

Poison immunity-self explanatory

Parry command for counters.

Actual special moves for some characters.

Elemental strengths and weaknesses.

Boss characters and normal characters.

Sounds good?

Well if many of you agree that it does, I might assemble a team and actually try to make this.

If creations are actually decent fighters, it seems like you'd win by being the best summoner and just being able to put together an insurmountable amount of total health.

—Alorael, who could see this as a fine fighting game. He's just not really sure what distinguishes it from myriad other fighting games except the graphics.

No, you can't. One, he makes RPGs, not fighting games, and has said repeatedly that he's very leery of venturing into even slightly different territory. Two, he's busy programming his own stuff and isn't likely to take time to work on your project. Ideas are a dime a dozen. Real design and implementation are the hard parts.

—Alorael, who would appreciate not having his signature signature appropriated.
