Tenderfoot Thahd Kexin
Ok, I impulse buy this game from Steam since it looks kinda like the old school RPGs that I used to play. But where's the wide screen support? Even after choosing 1080p res the game world seems to be stuck in 4:3 format. What gives?
Chittering Clawbug Danny the Fool
In game, hit escape to bring up the menu, go into game settings, and set "game area size" to "whole window".
Tenderfoot Thahd Kexin
Whole Window? Why not call it full screen LOL. Anyway, interesting game so far. I love the text based descriptions though the combat can be rather dry without some animations to spice it up.

Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
there are some animations in combat but those can be missed on high resolution (I bsrely see those at 1280*1024 on 19" monitor which is around meter away from my head) and if you expect bigger animations then you need to play some big budget rpgs. Tenderfoot Thahd Kexin
I'm not asking for Mass Effect here, but I am expecting at least BG or Fallout 2 level of animations and fluff. A paper doll would be nice too. Is it too much ask that my gear actually shows up on my character so I can see a little progression? I'm loving the game so far, I just wish it wasn't so bare bones in terms of visual and polish. I would gladly pay more say $20-30 for this game with improved graphics. Perhaps a DLC maybe. Tenderfoot Thahd Uberwiggett
I like it the way it is, I used to play exile 2 crystal souls (the shareware at least) and this reminds me of it. I don't need super 3d graphics to enjoy the humongous amount of game.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Those graphics just aren't going to happen. Increasing the complexity of graphics increases the number of sprites exponentially, and graphics are already a cost sticking point for these games. Fallout and Baldur's Gate were created by big-name studios; these games are mostly by one man who hires freelancers for graphics. —Alorael, who thinks the problem is that most people wouldn't spend $20-30 more for graphics that are a decade out of date instead of roughly 15 years out of date.
