Fledgling Fyora Head Drivel
I've been enjoying the Geneforge series quite a bit, and one thing I've noticed is that I really like the eerie ambient tracks that play in the background in some places. Does anyone know of a way to get these tracks as sound files and play them? Thanks.
Well-Actually War Trall A less presumptuous name.
Each of the games has a file with all of the scripts, graphics, and sound files. The location varies slightly by game and operating system. Post specifics and I or someone else can give you a file path. I can't remember what file format the audio files are in, so you may have to find a conversion tool to be able to play them on their own. Fledgling Fyora Head Drivel
I downloaded Geneforge 2 from this site for Mac OS X and the files are in Terminal format. I can't get their package contents. Seen here:
Chittering Clawbug othersean
There's no such thing as "terminal format." I broke out the terminal to see what's going on, and all the data is in some apparently non-standard format in the file's resource fork. Your best bet would probably be to use some program (audio hijack?) to record the sound as the game plays it.
