We have released Avadon: The Black Fortress, an all-new, Indie fantasy

role-playing game. Avadon is an epic adventure in a strange and

dangerous world. You are a spy and warrior, tasked to fight the enemies

of your homeland. As a servant of the Black Fortress, your word is law.

Gain power and influence, experience an exciting adventure, and battle

a conspiracy to destroy your people.

 

You are an agent of Avadon. The Black Fortress. Outside your lands,

there are limitless threats. Barbarians. Fading, jealous empires.

Titans and unspeakable horrors. The warriors and spies of Avadon are

sent to keep them weak and divided. Your resources are unlimited, and

all must obey you.

 

But a dark time is coming. Assassins are killing Avadon's warriors, and

hidden enemies plot to unite all of your homeland's foes. If you cannot

discover and destroy this conspiracy, and soon, your people face total

destruction. But beware. The assassins will soon come for you...

 

Avadon: The Black Fortress is an epic fantasy role-playing adventure in

an enormous and unique world. You can choose from four different

character classes, each with dozens of unique spells and abilities.

Explore cunning dungeons, hunt for hundreds of magical artifacts, and

travel through an enormous world, full of secrets. Avadon features many

different endings. Your choices will change the world, and there is

plenty of replay value.

* Avadon Updated To v1.0.1

 

If you are one of the many people who have already purchased Avadon,

thank you! You should know that we have updated the Macintosh version

to v1.0.1. This upgrade fixes a lot of bugs, and we recommend it. To

upgrade your copy, simply download the new version and install it over

the old one. Your registration and saved games will be unaffected. You

can get the new version at the link above.

 

* Avadon Coming For Windows and iPad

 

Of course, we want to make sure more than just Mac owners get in on the

fun. The Windows version of Avadon: The Black Fortress has entered beta

testing, and we hope to have it ready in the beginning of May.

 

Also, we are thrilled to announce that we are also finally entering the

exciting world of developing for portable platforms. Avadon: The Black

Fortress will soon be available for the iPad. We aren't sure exactly

when it'll be ready, because that will depend in part on what Apple

says. When it's out, we'll let you know.

 

* What Else Is Coming?

 

We are also slowly starting work on a ground-up rewrite of Avernum,

which is itself a rewrite of our first title, Exile: Escape From the

Pit. After a decade, Avernum is showing its age and very much in need

of freshening up, with a new engine and graphics. (As well as a long

overdue appearance on the iPhone.) But don't worry! This will only be a

several month detour for us before we get back to writing all-new

games.
