Seasoned Roamer Nefarian
Alright, so I've pressed the switch in Dharmon, but there are still walls past that which I can't get past. I see two big cracks though, so do I need to cast a spell or something to get past it to the Captain?
Ineffable Wingbolt Øther
Once you press the switch in the trash pit, you follow the path until the end, and then you push another switch. When you talk to the captain and talk about the meat, if you keep bugging him until you can either get the meat for Gnass, or you can get some good armor. Seasoned Roamer Nefarian
ah, thanks btw, which one did you choose? i.e. which one is better morally and which one is better for powergamers
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
The armour is a Blessed Breastplate, which is the best thing you'll find for a long time. The question is how bad you feel about lying to a town of hungry sliths.
Kyshakk Koan jlsgaladriel
Hmm, I took the moral stance (nationalist stance?) to do whatever would make the strongest Avernum. I did recover the shards of the orb, but didn't kill the fang clan chief, because I figured the fang clan was part of a strong Avernum. I killed the mayor of Spire for gladwell, because I figured the Abyss as dragon-slave wasn't a picture of what Avernum should be. Likewise, I got the meat for Gnass, because in my mind, a strong free ally slith community was good for Avernum. So I guess the morally better choice is the one which meshes with your characters' mind-sets.
