  1. Thanks for the reply. Now I'm just waiting till tonight for Jeff to send out an updated version without the can't-play-the-game-with-sound-unless-you-want-internal-bleeding bug
  2. Remember all you windows users out there that are just dying to play the game and do something for no financial benefits, you can apply for the testing by going to the news section and clicking the 'apply here' link in the corresponding news line while it lasts. Just thought I'd point this out...
  3. Oh well, I suppose now I just have to wait a bit for the beta and pray I get in. Hope all you mac users enjoy the game in the meantime...I'm gonna go and find a mac to play the demo on now...
  4. Yes, Hawk King, Jeff's been spending the time he should be on G3 on a book...Nah, just joking. If you ever check the frontpage of spiderweb instead of shortcutting it to the forum then you might have noticed the last day or so a plug for his book has been on the frontpage. It's about the first year of his daughter's life (lots of which he has already voyeuristically posted about on ironycentral). But yeah! Can't wait for G3...its about these times that I consider switching to Macs
  5. Yeah, I just realized it is probably a bad idea to joke about something like the release of G3 in this forum... Just be happy that Jeff doesn't fall in with other software producers and say the game is due in 'Q1 2005' or some other crap like that. If he says March, it means March. Or early April.
  6. Guys...it was a joke. I'm sorry I didn't use a smiley face and thus it came across as a serious response to the question of when the game will come out. Hopefully you'll all recover from your heartattacks soon enough to get Geneforge 3 when it comes out, which, as we all seem to have agreed upon will be sometime between now and the end of the month, at the very latest early April.
  7. Re: i's comment. I'm assuming you include the period of betatesting within the period of 2-3months for porting from Mac to Windows. I'd say it takes Jeff 1-2 months to do the actually programming and editing, then around a months worth of heavy betatesting to get it in shape for release...
  8. On the topic of when it will come out...I only care cause I'm awaiting the windows beta. But my guess is that now Jeff's finished his book he'll be able to start on Geneforge 3...which will come out sometime in March 2006...yes, 2006. Dolphin, the Mac Betatesting will have probably started a good few months ago, and will continue up until the moment it is released out to the public...the same thing will happen for the Windows version, after its released for the Mac of course. Can't wait, hoping to get into the beta testing to break up some of this boring uni work.
