  1. Is hard in this game actually hard on hard difficulty? I just finished with Kingdoms of Amalur, and I found hard difficulty really easy (probably a normal on most games). Im also the type of guys who likes a challenge when playing games (whether electronic or table top), and I was able to beat Avadon on hard no problem. So would you recommend skipping normal difficulty?
  2. Lets hope that it gets released at the end of April, so that I can treat myself when I finish final exams.
  3. Has anyone beaten it yet, how long is the game? I was kinda disapointed that ME2 was only 24 hours (I was on the second hardest difficulty). If its less then 30 hours, then I'll wait till it goes on sale.
  4. Do you know if it will be released on Steam once the windows version come out?
  5. This reminds me of all the youtube comments you see on music videos arguing over what kind of genre the music is. Is it power metal... no its heavy metal... no your both wrong, its progressive metal. My personal opinion: Its a RPG... you fulfill a specific Role/s while Playing the Game
  6. Ive been lurking these forums for a while now and post every once and a while, but one thought has been stuck in the back of my mind and I would like to express it. What made Jeff decide on making Exile's 6 party system into a 4 party system for Avernum. And is it just me, or did things also get simplified in the process. The thing that worries me even more is that Avadon has been reduced to three people in your party, and has become overly simplistic. There are only 4 different character classes with one skill tree each (has three branches but due to the restrictive nature of the skill system, everyone just chooses the middle path). It's not the linearity that I dislike (often linear games have a great story) but its the fact that each new remake and series seems to get more streamlined and simplified. Its like Exile first started out like Baldur's Gate, but then Avadon turned out to be Dragon Age 2. I know I'm probably gonna get flamed, but I don't care. Those of you who played the Avernum remake, does it feel more like exile or avadon? It just seems like every good RPG seems to get streamlined (loved DA:O but DA2 sucked, and loved ME1 and disliked ME2 and will probably not like ME3 either since I heard its very similar to ME2)
  7. I average about 6 hours a week spent on video games (until I'm done finals in May). So I don't have enough time to play the whole trilogy. Would I have enough time to finish one game if I can only spend 60 hours?
  8. Any ETA for when it will be released for windows? Side note: Do you think I would have enough time to play through any of the second Avernum trilogy games before A:EftP is released? PS: I didnt want to come off as rude or impatient (well I am a little impatient sometimes)
  9. I don't get it, its been months since it came out to mac but its still not available to windows.
  10. Hi everyone, I'm just wondering if its possible to run this game on widows, even thought it is for a mac. I know they are making a windows version later, but I'm really impatient and would like to play it now (while I have free time). Is there some kind of program to convert it to windows, or a certain way to download the game? Sorry, I'm really a newb when it comes to computers, so I hope this question isn't too silly. BTW... why does the mac version always come out first? I thought windows were meant for gaming, and you know, anything important (but who doesn't like to fool around with a nice shiny mac!). Sorry, I just could never get into apple. Thanks again, cheers!
