Demons! Haakai! In Exile 2/3 I reached a point where I was strong enough to capture (through trial and error as well) powerful demons, and then sit back and watch them obliterate an entire army. Is this still possible?

I was able to recreate your issue by using nVidia's DSR setting to play at 4K. I tried both games and you are right, A2CS screen at 4K does not stretch the screen, while AEftP does scale to the whole screen at 4K. The reason I hadn't experienced this earlier is because I play at 1920x1080, and both games look fine at a "whole window"/"larger" game size area.

The original Exile games had the ability to write custom notes. Maybe for A3:RW can have a journal like tab/button to add our custom notes. Only reason I ask is that it is tedious to put a notes file on my desktop given that the game doesn't use borderless windowed mode, so alt-tab becomes a tad annoying. The game is really well balanced, apart from the species selection favouring humans. The game feels a lot tighter and the difficulty on hard has me watching my positioning. A really nice change is that elemental damage is something to be feared as opposed to all the previous games where the only thing I had to watch out for was poison and hard hitting melee npcs.

I bought it from GOG as well and there are no issues on my side.

Thanks guys, it seems the phrase was lost on me. I was 9 years old at the time.

This is the lore in Exile: Escape from the Pit. Have we ever discovered who this man and woman were? Edit: I should add that the group carrying Demonslayer were killed by a man and a woman.

Avernum 2 because it is the most challenging of the 4 games and exploring the world in A2 actually felt like you were exploring a whole new world with lots of surprises and things in A2 never went the way you expected them to go.

The only spell(thanks Drakefyre) that needs vahnatai lore at all is the priest one fireblast. Second of all if you DO want to get it this is what you do: After going through the portal back to Avernum, you create a character, go back into vahnatai lands and boost his VL skill to 5, now you have 10 total. Stick this extra character in a barrack until you need him. BTW I am replaying A2 again, I was level 15 before entering chapter 2. PPS: No one in their walkthroughs mentioned that intelligence only improves the effects of spells and not their duration.
