What about some magic creations that focus on disabling or healing effects(imaging a vlish that only dazes, without doing any damage!!!)

Can someone explain why i can't make any changes to this file(the file is from the geneforge 2 game) -
if your computer shuts down by it's own, it might be a problem with your source. You should acquire some software that monitors the voltage and intensity in your system. If any of the values are outside of their limits you should take your computer to a specialist or you should replace it, otherwise you might soon have a smoking surprise(like i did not so long ago).

Lifecrafters and shapers usually don't need battle creations, i tend to stick with 3 magic creations and 1 fire creations when playing lifecrafter/shaper, or 1 magic creation when playing as an agent, cause usually i stun my opponents before i take them out one by one.
By the way..., if you're playing as a guardian it's better to use fire/magic creations than battle one because they are usually much more versatile and do more damage(and they do it from a distance!!( except for Glahks)).

considering that geneforge 5 will be the last geneforge game, it would be cool to have a secret unlockable character..., lets say a shaper with no penalty to melee or magic..., and this character could be playable once the game is finished with the regular characters.

Is there a cheat that can make the game forget the number of used canisters or reset it to 0?

I love the agent/infiltrator, as it gets more life points than the shaper and it's battle magic skills are really punishing, while mental can disable my enemies in order to kill them one by one, and the use of creations is hardly ever needed. I wish however that they would have cooler graphics, as i always change the looks of my agent/infiltrator with the shaper graphic.

i don't believe that the game consumes so much power as to prevent computers running it smoothly, and a huge battle would be fun, though it may last for hours and your character may not have a very important part in such a battle.

actually, it would be great if creations would be stronger than drakons....they're already old creations...maybe some rebellious shapers and drakons would join forces to create some uber tachyon throwing lizard(humanoid, spider, alien, etc.)
Seriously now, the only thing that would make the war tralls better is increased damage...as for the esthetic's of creatures, well shapers never were very imaginative when it came for battle creations, they wanted them stupid, obedient, massive, intimidating(by size and not smell). And in all four games they were treated mostly as meat shields by the player, while magic(for me) and fire creatures did the finishing job.
EDIT: Apart from improving creations i would like different genders for each character type(isn't it strange that we meet both female and male shapers, but we never meet male infiltrators or female guardians?)

I would want the main character to be able to buy(build) his own shaper lab, this way you could create powerful a creation by using the shaping vats(for example you could create battle gammas, charged creation's that don't dye out, add an extra attack(stun, freeze) or improving a spell, so you wouldn't spend so much essence, but you would have to spend money.
It would also be nice to have duels between the main character and oder shapers or rebels(depending on which side you want to stick), in these duels you wouldn't kill the other shaper or rebel, you would just battle that person's creation, and the winner would granted extra knowledge in the shaping or magic arts.

And how do nuclear weapons maintain peace? through the fear factor?...fear has been the cause of many conflicts in the past.
Before saying such things you should also bear in mind that nuclear weapons are not meant to be used on military units but on cities(civilian population!!!). And most of the time the owners of powerful weapons do not use them to maintain peace but to bully other parties in order to receive some sort of benefit.
And to return to the topic at hand i must say that i resent the rebels because they make rogue creations and because they say that they want revenge, but all they want is to replace the shapers. I am with the shapers, but i believe that they should loose their arrogance.
