Bah, why didn't Jeff get rid of the unstable creations? almost none used them in the past game and this time it's probably going to be the same.

i hope Jeff will fix these tiny inconsistencies in the windows version, and maybe release a patch for the mac version.

but why are the shapers, agents and guardians inferior to the rebel classes, they should be at least at the same level, or have benefits and drawbacks that complement each other.

 

Is there a benefit from a story point a view to a shaper(does the game distinguish from shaper/rebel characters)?

the point is to test yourself, to test how capable you are at beating something that is clearly much stronger than you(when it comes to brute strength). On lower difficulty levels you can get through the whole game by simply clicking on the enemy, while on torment a tad bit of thinking is required.

 

 

Oh, and i forgot, there's a certain degree of satisfaction knowing that you beat the game on "Torment"

don't quite get what you mean either, the first three games were nice, as one could discover the geneforge world without being driven into the story by "force", the fourth installment, well i already stated my opinion about it...

hehe, that's not what i meant, i was referring to the "flow" of the story, in g4 i just didn't learn any interesting stuff about the Geneforgian World, as i did in the first 3 games, i guess we'll just have to wait for the game...

is the new game linear as the g4, or does it have some of the g2 mystery?

 

 

In g4 i kinda felt like someone was pushing me through the plot against my will, or was this feeling only present because i've got familliar with the story? As many peeps said that g3 was linear, but for me this one was the first in the series and i still consider it the best.

but remember that forums are so technologically advanced these days that they even have a feature called search !

you can give the reaper attack function to swords if you wanted to, there's no need for using batons as swords, but a puresteel soulblade with reaper ranged attack is very powerfull.

 

 

 

Is the windows version going to be out before or after the holidays?

Ehm, DNA isn't found only in one's brain but in every single cell, so the lifecrafter wouldn't be suffering from brain death.

Oh, and shapers/lifecrafters are only capable of absorbing creations that don't have a strong will, otherwise it could've been veeery easy to put an end to the rebellion by now. And the thing with full shapers...well i don't quite buy that, i mean the shapers from the continent in G4 should've been full, righty?

well the oldies from these boards have made a habbit of making lies and misleading the "youngsters", like that secret level in the Geneforge 1 were you presumably could travel to Avernum, etc

could we have updated screenshots, with creation graphics and such?

hehe, so this was jeff's answer to that fact that in the past games battle creations were rarely used. Of course this only applies if waht you say is true.
