Just finished the new Escape from the Pit and am looking at purchasing Avadon. However, have read some things here that made it sound like a very difficult game and much more so than the Avernum Series. Am very enthusiastic but not very intuitive with the genre. Advice would be welcomed.

This is a great game and a long one. I feel like I really lived the adventure. I want to thank all of those that helped me on my journey especially Randomizer. I had a number of frustrating times and it was great that I had a place to ask questions. See you again when Part 2 is re released. Cheers

I have killed Grah Hoth and the Emperor. The text after the death of the emperor said that this was the third and hardest mission. I have missed the second. I have no idea where I go now to do the second. Also, I didn't see the secret button re the fountain. Must confess that I was curious about why I was talking to the statues and then couldn't find the fountain but I continued anyway (oops). So would appreciate knowing what happens when you get to the magic fountain and where I go now to do mission 2. Thanks in advanc4

Thanks for writing back. The level 3 barriers did annoy me and you were right on all counts. I didn't need the 3rd level to finish the Drath crypt but I sure thought I did. I did get the demonslayer quest from Solberg, not X and now have the working sword. the Basilisks were not where I was looking. Argh I assume that I will come across the Orb in the fullness of time cause I sure don't have it now. Abbreviation appreciated. Now I have to find the Haakai and have not yet managed that. Truly enjoying the game though. Occasionally supremely frustrated and am totally addicted.

I have level 2 barrier spell but can't pierce the barrier for Draths dungeon. So I can't get the last piece of demonslayer and do X's quest. Can't find the dragon scroll so I can't get Khoths barrier spell (level 3 for barriers). Have looked in the strategy section and don't understand what the abbreviation CSW means nor where the strange cave is. I am unable to enter the cave where the basilisk hunt quest is noted on the map. and finally Can't find the giant in the western caves of Formello. Sorry if these are dumb questions. Help would be great.

Thanks for this. I would never have found it as I was looking on the other wall and kept looking for a crumbling wall as well. Once I knew it was on the other side of the hall I could see it. Also I never knew that Ctrl U highlighted "hidden" areas. Thank you for those that told me.

I still can't find that switch. Any pointers beyond near bones (just can't see it)?? Thanks

Having horrible problems here. I get the blue pylon down to 1 and keep hitting it and then eventually it moves around. I manage to do this three times but then one of the characters gets spooked and runs out of the circle and it all stops and I get to start over...or the Hraithe keeps using rain of fire till 3 of the 4 die. Is the pylon supposed to change when it gets to 1? Have tried this so many times that my frustration level has hit the top. Turned the difficulty to casual and this didn't get me through? ARGH! Any help?

I can find the causeway and I can see where the foundry must be, but I can't get there because of stones blocking the path. Am unable to find the underground tunnel that takes me there and this is driving me crazy. Have spent a long time looking for what must b e obvious. Any help would be great. Thanks

Just installed the demo. The full screen version has a pattern for most of the screen with a smallish box in the centre that is the game. Is there any way to make the game box bigger and the pattern smaller or gone completely? thanks

Hi. sorry to be a pain. I have searched the forums but don't get anything on keys. There is a door i can't open in Khor's Deeps and I don't have a key to the Makers Mansion. Any help is appreciated. Regards Snow

I was actually wrong about the quest. I thought that finding the daughter was a quest, but it turned out I had missed a whole set of dialogue options by accident and when I went back i found them and got the key. snow

Cool. Thanks for writing back. I didn't know about the cheat code. This is the first Geneforge game I have purchased and I am finding the moral decisions a dilemma. Quite interesting for a computer game!

Hi I didn't keep count of the number of cannisters I used in G3. Not a lot, but...is there a place to look to see cause there are some very tempting ones on Gull Island. Thanks in advance snow

HI There is Phasia's metal works on overgrown road. It requires 16 living tools and i long since gave up carrying that many cause they are too heavy when they add up. Is there a key someplace I missed? The FAQ doesn't mention any problem with getting into the place. Thanks in advance
