Well, I have pocked around the store room then. it is the room in the southeast I am trying to get into. Found an old walkthrough that said that I needed to fight the empire in the storeroom before I can get into the room in the southeast. Nothing has happened. No fights. Am trying to do the spy in Blosk quest. Is there something else I am supposed to do? Any help would be great. Edited to add: Went back again and now the fight has shown up. Thanks for writing back.

Have checked the forums and this question is obviously obvious to everyone but me. Sorry Blosk has sent me to Almaria to check the storerooms. I can hear something through the wall but cannot find the way into the room - have checked for buttons and weak walls (I think) If this is not the store room, please tell me where it is. Am wandering around the Lair. Don't think I have killed her. There is a locked gate to the southeast that I can't open. There is no one else around. Anywhere. Am missing something. Help would be great. Thanks I wandered around yet again and finally bumped back into Odil and now that back gate is open.

Thanks for responding. I do have the quest. I am mid it and i don't like what is developing. Was wondering what the consequences were if I turn Dedrik down and don't do the quest.

I am just at this point now. What happens if you don't do the quest and attack the Pact soldiers?

Thank you Lilith and Earth Empires It turned out to be a problem with my GOG installation which is now fixed. After installing correctly the savegames magically appeared where they are supposed to.

Played the demo which i downloaded from here. Bought the game from GOG. Tried to play the game and have to put in a license number and didn't get that from GOG but the game is available on the book shelf. I don't want to replay the demo bits, can someone please tell me where to find the Avadon 2 savegames so I can put them into GOG. Probably totally obvious but I can't find them Thanks in advance for the help

Thank you. I did use the cheat, excuse me 'minor shortcut' to retrain Natalie and I managed to not kill her through the battle and finally finished the thing. Should I have trained all the characters in the middle column?

Thanks. Unfortunately I maxed her out to date on the left column. Perhaps there is enough time to get her some more central column stuff but not for this battle, I fear.

Sigh. Love this game but am not a great builder of characters. I suspect that this battle is way to hard for my characters. Can't keep the sorceress alive for love or money (shame cause she does such great area damage) and I don't really want to turn down the difficulty to easy but I may have to. I can't seem to keep my characters fast enough to get past a certain point.

At the end of Natalie's quest. Trying to kill the drake and I keep getting messages about I hit him and he moves off and the other fake drakes are shimmering. I assume that this is supposed to tell me which to try and kill but either I don't see the shimmering or can't tell that something is shimmering. Have been trying to do this for WAY too long. Do please help. Thanks in advance

Thanks for writing back. I will give the hero more lockpick points. I have not had this problem with any of the Avernum games. This game has a different type of skill tree and likely I have not done the development well enough to be stronger in the areas the characters need. I'll get as far as I can.

Have all the potions from the merchants that I have met! Lock opening skill for hero is still 1. Group total would certainly be 4. Am needing between 2 and 3 lockpicks for the doors now. Started off only needing one. Anyway, am on my way to the wizards tower and am very short on potions.

Apologies if this is address somewhere or is a dumb question but I have done a search and not found anything. I am an enthusiastic player but likely not very good at it and have used most of my potions to stay alive to this point (am level 20) I have been unable to find any more potions except perhaps one here or there after expending a large amount of lockpicks. Is there a store that is always open for potions? Is there a way to make some more if needed? (At one point the sorceress says something about alchemy and mushrooms but I haven't seen a remark like this since) Thanks in advance.

Ryozo was still at the Aerie. I got the second quest from the wayfarer. When I went back to Jereths Depths to put the papers under the carton I don't get the option to do so. All I am told is that all that is there is something like sticks and stones. Is the quest dead? Is the quest bugged? Thanks

Neray is not in the wretch warrens near the trapdoor. Does this mean that there is something wrong with the quest? I was given the quest by Tartram. Thanks in advance

Thanks for the answers. When I wrote to tech support I had hoped that there was a really quick fix as I figured that the parameters of the black border around the central playing field could be changed with a small change in the code.

Have got the game in 800 x 600 and the bit "in the middle" where the party is walking around is too small for me to easily see. The rest of the game takes up the whole screen and is easy to see. The playing field where the characters are is too small for me to see. This unfortunately makes A3 too hard to play for me. Is there a technical fix? Thanks in advance

It is the "in the middle" bit where the party is walking around that I have been trying to make bigger. The rest of the game takes up the whole screen. Sigh. This unfortunately makes A3 too hard to play for me.

Thanks for writing back. The monitor works fine at 800 x 600. I can easily7 see everything on the screen EXCEPT the middle bit where the warriors etc are wandering around. It is small especially next to all the rest. Plus it has a lot of black around it. I hope there is a way to increase the middle bit and decrease all the black around it so that the size of the little people is much larger.

Have a large screen. The screen is set at 800 x 600 for the game. Everything is large except the playing field in the middle. The little people are very little and it is hard to see, for these old eyes. Is it possible to enlarge the bit where everything happens, and if so, please tell me how to do it.
