  1. I agreed with none of them. They were all very short-sighted in their planning and couldn't possibly survive.
  2. Absolutely 100% certain that there is, in fact.
  3. The orb isn't supposed to work. And along the north side there is a passage somewhere there. Keep looking and you'll find it.
  4. You have to walk across the lava to the northen end of it. There's a secret passage through the mountains there. Judicious healing will make sure you get there. However the suggestion that you rest as soon as you can once you are there is an understatement.
  5. There's a messenger to the north-west of Gremlin's Gold, to the west of the river, that wants it. Interesting name...
  6. Some of the historical competition topics in GC had some proper kickarse titles.
  7. That's what, three newbs in the last week and a half reviving dead topics by "accident" I smell conspiricy!
  8. In all likelyhood there has never been someone known as Thalrini in reality, nor fiction. It is generally thought that Jeff just made up names that he liked the sound of for everything.
  9. There's no need to be so self-depreciating. I take it that you didn't realise, so there's nothing to be aggrieved about.
  10. Rrrrr... Reviving dead topics is frowned upon. Especially, when they are three months old... Yes, it was a fairly reasonable topic, but may I advise that you apologise in some form, to avoid extreme canning?
  11. Hmmm...? I'll take it one way, an interesting line of thought. Not bad.
  12. I rarely name creations. If I ever get the urge to do so it's generally something mythological and cool-sounding. Like Ouroboros. Or Cerberus.

    Gems

Unless I'm extremely mistaken, the only useful gem is a sapphire for Magic Map, the others are only useful for money.
  14. Try Riibu's maps on this forum's page, it's just above the list of topics.
  15. Actually, a thought. Jeff wins. Think about it. He's personified in the game. He can re-write it at will. He can change it so that every party that is training up to come and kill him suddenly meets an army of alien beasts and have suddenly found that their weapons have turned into sticks, they are unable to cast spells and fleeing not only doesn't work, but causes 999 damage. Sure, the traders might make an alliance with the random events, but when you can only be reached by putting an esoteric object on some unlikely spot, and you can turn everything and one into rice pudding, who's going to stop you?
  16. A flame war? Over Erika? In Tech Support? Yeah right. Though before she died, she must've been getting on a bit. I mean, it takes time to become a major archmagess, then the time involved inn Exile getting rid of Grah-Hoth and putting Micah on the throne before E1 happens, then all of the time up to E3 (by which time, it says that all your adventurers were born in Exile, and they needed time to grow up, at least 20 years we're talking here). She must have been at least 60-70 and maybe anywhere up to 90.
  17. Not really, you can utilise them to good effect if you have a desire to kill Erika.
  18. Ah a grammatically incorrect Canadn from Canadia. The obsession with horses is that, not only are all known specie seemingly identical, but they are apparently indestructable, can move twice as fast as any other thing alive and seem to provide you with more food somehow. (Based on lower usage of food). This rounds up to dang good creature. The drawbacks are that while indestructable, they are unable to move with someone one them and no offensive capabilities. And sure, the Exiles have plenty of allies, but the entire army is useless except for small six-person bands of adventurers that, as was said, if the amount of reloads that a player has to use is anything to go by, have depopulated the Exiles and their allies five times over.
  19. Like that's not a plug... Yeah, and don't you want to know what "Golems" are? Or "Beasts"? Or find another two pointless, misleading clues as to the culprit?
  20. Whole point is that that is where you get True Sight and... Manna I think...
  21. I suppose that you have also got to take into account that the Empire has four whole other continents to draw troops and magi from. They might not have the most powerful spells, but with that sort of manpower, arguing with them isn't just out of the question, it's out of the window with your head on a pike.
  22. Well, I'm not sure about some of the items mentioned, but I do remember that you can acquire the Alien Blade in Hawke's Manse by searching the statues.
  23. Me? Loyal? Not a chance. In fact, I first joined the Takers and cleared the Sholai controlled territory. Then I killed Trajkov and destroyed the Geneforge, being a good, not taking over the world me. Then I joined the Awakened. Took all the advantages and joined the Obeyers. Even after using five to get aligned with one side, there is a way to use the ten required to get over to the other side, then join the original side again. Though why someone would need to steal from someone more than once I do not know...
  24. Jeff's influence of Blades ends at the scen maker. It's the community that have to make something of it. Geneforge and II are pretty good games. But Nethergate is the best. If not Nethergate E2/A2 (depending on taste), Then comes BoE, maybe in time BoA. Then Geneforge and II.
