There are no changes to the sequence of events that defeat Rentar in A3, apart from a few trivialities. You still had to vist each corner in both games.

Magic is specialized. Some monsters will be damaged more by one type then another. Fire creations for example will die quicker with mental damage spells and Kill while Magic creations will barely be effected by the above examples.

Level 100 means little, a GOD firebolt will blast a fire-resistant 2000HP level 100 character into dust with one hit. Then again thats what a GOD party is meant to be able to do but...

As a script ignorant I'd like to know, would it be possible to have a script that would activate a death node that killed a PC if that script was set to kill the PC if his name was thus.

The Orb quest appeared about day 30 in my game. Tower of Magi Disaster is about day 160. Not far off in my game, as I like to hang around for a few years.

Actually, the empire gave Avernum the unsettled lands to the far east of the continant. You recive a special encounter when you get near them and Prazec says as much to you in the ending.
