Yes, no mercy to the bugs! I was surprised, you end up offing 3 of the buggies precious crystal souls and just get a big "meh" from them. I suspect severe repercussions in the future.

Heartsriker bow: buried in a hole on the left side of Rentar's last Fortress. Base Damage: 8-56 Value: 4,000 Weight:2.5 lbs. Special Effect: Lightning damage (not sure, there's a "zappy" graphic effect when it hits Takes a lot of Nature Lore and you can only use it for a short while, but nice nonetheless.

I'm stuck at the second gate in the Basalt Fortress. I met up with a Vahnatai escort, fought a few battles, and they stopped for me to open this gate. I cleared out some dog handlers, and a temple area that seemed to be the logical way around the gate, but I can't open the door there (seems to require a key). I have 2 crystal keys but they don't work. Meanwhile, after much backtracking trying to find another way around I slipped back into Fort Remote to heal. Only to return and find the Vahnatai are all gone! Gaaah! Stupid, backstabbing, untrustworthy bugs! And I still can't get past the gate after exploring everywhere (I think). What an I missing? Am I screwed? Also, Abysinthe keeps reappearing. I've killed her once, fulfilled the quest, but when I return to her lair she's still there (minus her gang). It makes a decent moneymaker, but anyone else have this issue? Also, I can't seem to complete the Blosk worm quest. I've done the deed but the mayor won't aknowledge my achievement (perhaps because I've already ripped off the wizard's cache?) Thanks!
