This may not be important, but it's on the same lines as SNM's post. When I entered the evil slith fort in the Great Cave I went east from the outset into the door that leads to the room with all the barriers. It skipped the encounter dialog about the seeing a giant and the slith chieftain since I didn't go the center path. I got the encounter dialog about the giant and such as I left the area and after I had killed everything, which was sort of wierd. I also remember a seriously delayed encouter dialog with the small vanhatai camp just west of Fort Remote. Also, a few times when I resurrected my fourth character, his picture didn't show up (all his info and inventory did, as did the actual character on the screen, just no character picture), and wouldn't until I resurrected him again. Not sure what that was about.

I just finished this quest too. He said he unlocked the final barracks store room, but it's not unlocked. Is this a bug?

I was actually rather suprised when I found it was a spell. I thought it would have something to do with the plot, since you get the quest so early. Like...they would say that Oliver is really Dorikas or something.

Ooooooooooooooooh!! It's all coming back to me now! How stupid of me. Thanks a bunch.

I read the book in Khoth's ruins. It said I know how to translate the scrolls now. Great. So I go back to Fort Monastery and talk to Lark. I tell her I know how to translate the scrolls and she says something along the lines of 'Then do it! Please! THe suspense is killing me!' And that's it. Nothing more I can say to her other then 'So you're a hedge wizard?' and 'What services do you offer' What gives? How do I translate the scrolls? Please help me out if you care anything about a poor young hedge wizard's life. James
