  2. Quote: Originally written by Thralni, chicken god prophet: There is a special button to make the people of Shayder friendly again. This button, however, can only be used when registered. As you are probably using a demo, you can't use the button. It seems as if that's only in E3.
  3. Quote: Originally written by Ephesos: Quote: Originally written by Slith Lord: If Haakais could use that spell, they would cast it about every 3 rounds and so they are completely invulnerable. I imagine that they'd be no worse than those giant chiefs with invulnerability potions. Those things last forever. At least you can still do some damage through an Arcane Shield. Once Arcane shield reaches a certain level, it grants invulnerability. So you then wouldn't be able to do some damage through an Arcane Shield. Quote: And at least no NPC ever, ever, EVER cast Sanctuary in A2. That'd have been unpleasant. I never really understood what Sanctuary and Mass Sanctuary did. Could someone please explain?
  4. I suspect an error; those stairs should only appear after you've visited the Gale Library to start the Patchtar's Plate quest. And once those stairs do appear, you should be able to descend into a dragon's lair.

Maybe some of the other people here should be asking that question... *cough* Anyway, skribbane is a drug you can take in A/E III. It's a combination of almost all drugs; it induces hallucinations, causes bursts of strength, emotion shifts, is highly addictive, and probably does some other stuff I'm forgetting.

  8. One necklace, one bracelet, one ring, right? Unless Avernum has wiped my memory... Has it?
  9. When you defeat the troglodytes, you gain access to a well-protected room in the library of City Hall in Sharimik. There you can learn Dispel Barrier at level 3.
  10. Quote: Originally written by Thuryl: No, different sources of the same resistance don't stack. You'll get only the same resistance bonus as whichever is first in your inventory list. (You don't get a cumulative bonus from two rings of Skill or Accuracy either.) How could you wear two rings of Skill or Accuracy anyway?
  11. Quote: Originally written by Slith Lord: I wasn´t revieving it. And that question had nothing to do with you either. He was talking about the time gap between Ephesos's post and Saurion's.
  12. Quote: Originally written by Bomber: It would make them more difficult to fight if they could cast spells like arcane shield. Arcane Shield and Repel Spirit have been almost conclusively proved (If I haven't forgotten) to be non-castable by NPCs. And just because a monster becomes tougher doesn't mean the combat is better.
  13. Quote: Originally written by Slith Lord: The button IS seperated and you need to be registered. I owned the game myself and needed this button several times! Several times? How did you manage to anger them several times? You don't get a prize for consistent pillaging...
  14. Well, to make a game trainer-proof you would have to keep all player's information on a database instead of a save file on their computer.
  15. I'm pretty sure there's a specific button to make the Anama friendly again which is seperate from the generic "make towns friendly" button. As for the room visible from the upper library, that is the main temple. A dialog special should state so very clearly.
  16. Its not really about the fact if you have registered or not, just what to do about "a broken game," and the only solution i can give for something like that, is try to reload a save-file, and see what happens when you DON'T the same thing as you have done first. Also, without registering, one CAN understand what's going on. maybe don't have a good picture of it, but certainly understanding what'g oing on: walktrough's. I got very curious what happened and read the end of some walkthrough. First of all, you wouldn't know what you were talking about even by reading a whole walkthrough. If you haven't played that part of the game, your ideas and opinions don't mean much. I'm assuming nossage, who has enough skill to play a game to the end, can also reload that game. And that didn't solve the problem. You, hopefully, do think so highly of nossage as well. Lastly, if you knew what the problem was and you were operating under the assumption that nossage was/is capable of loading a save file, you wouldn't have given the answer you gave. You didn't know he wasn't done asking yet? Why, he asked a question just in the post before your post! I just rechecked, and guess what: I jumped the gun. I thought fourteen hours had passed; only two had. Sadly, that doesn't change much. The cooking thing you said is really irrelevant. First if all, i don't say I'm an expert, and second, I thought I really could help. I just try to be helpful, even when i can't really give good advice, I at least try to give good advice, instead of just sayting others' advice isn't usefull. How do i know if you know what we are talking about? Maybe you don't know what's going on? Are you actually registered? I could think of a whole lot of things to ask now. I haven't tried to give advice on the actual topic, so whether I know what I'm talking about is irrelevant. But just in case it comes up later (I hope it doesn't), I own E3, A3, and various other Spiderweb games. I wouldn't take your advice on something you weren't good at. I also don't think you should give advice on things you don't have experience with. However, you think people can still give advice without skill. Therefore, it's a matter of debate and not logical conclusion. Just one other small thing: People, even without knowing what's really going on, still can give advice by just using their brains. ^ Quote: Originally written by Eldibs: <spam type="text/pointless"> I do believe Thralni has pwnz0rr3d you. </spam> I don't do it for the pwn. At the time when I had made my very first post in this thread, I had assumed nossage had already been helped. So I wouldn't have to say something useful myself and I would also be able to nitpick about pointless things. One pointless thing to nitpick about would be posting when you have no clue as to what should be done. Before Thralni said he hadn't registered, I was willing to believe he had just been trying to be helpful but had not examined his post well. However, now that I know Thralni hasn't registered, I really don't believe there can be any valid reason to talk about things you have no experience with. I wouldn't call myself an expert at cooking, and that's why I don't tell people how to cook. And if Thralni had no idea how to cook or didn't offer useful advice on how too cook, I would tell him to not offer advise regardless of the thoughtfulness and caring it showed.
  18. Quote: Originally written by An array cat: Also, for the sake of a modship, I would be ready to post pictures of myself covered by blue war paint and to a far lesser extent by clothes if nobody here knew my real name. As it is, I don't feel anonymous enough. So you'll be spared that sight. Do you have pictures like that already prepared?
  19. Quote: Originally written by Thralni, chicken god prophet: I'm sorri I can't really help you, but I don't think you should worry to much about a broken game. If I were you i would rely on others more, but the only thing I can suggest is to reload an old save file, if you have one. To summarize: Don't worry about your game; reload a save file. Yes, that's just so totally full of helpful advice on how to fix the problem.
  20. Quote: Originally written by Uhh... ben?: Well, the only reason you'd be visiting is for retrieval of vital information [for your games], therefore making the whole experience of educational intent. A trip to the butcher's shop would also be educational, but that's not condoned either. School administrators usually prefer that you learn about what they want you to learn about.

  23. Is anyone else seeing a different Custom Title for Alorael in this forum?
  24. Well, you update AVG regularly. I hope you've learned something from all this.
  25. I know it's possible with Wound in E3, but how did you manage to do damage in A3?
