My suggestion: I recommend that instead of: You must wait 24 hrs from when your last action occurred or was processed, you have to wait 24 hrs from when you submitted your last action. Thoughts?
  2. Ackrovan, for the love of god, as Domont your job is to identify who the other DLs are (you even get an ability to do so and everything) and not be spreading around your list of enemies. Especially without knowing for certain if the person you are telling this to is an enemy. Really sorry that things didn't go well for you, Doomy. I should've replied to you on time and tell you to get rid of Sarachim And apologies to Sporefrog and Tarson Great job to the rest of you. TM did specially well considering it was his first game.
  3. Err... I'll be gone for the next 30ish hours (might even be more), so try to not panic if I don't reply you as soon as you guys would like. I'll try to get online in between said time, but it is highly unlikely that I will. Also, please don't kill me
  4. For the Shanker, is there a reason why her victory condition is for the game to end at the conclusion of five days? Why not instead, make it so that she wins automatically if the game lasts at least 5 days? This way more than one person wins, her buddies will be leaving at least one kill to the last day (5th) which will in turn help people survive until close to the end, will give her enemies enough time to take her down, and won't royally screw up the Alchemist. The way it is now just makes her too Vahkos for my taste. As per the Pure Spirit, he does seem fairly weak for the task at hand. It'd all depend on how quickly he could get together with the Dionicio. What about having a: 50% chance of identifying a DL ability? Edit: Meh, after reading what Stareye said below I'm okay with the Shanker. It's a bit hard, but entirely possible. And the Pure Spirit looks good now, thanks.

I did noticed the Dionicio being nerfed, but hopefully the coins will make up for it. On its own, the Skill level thing sucks, but combined with the Nationality ability (I forget of which role's) it could be somewhat useful. Perhaps you could change the Spyre to: "Tells you either the nationality or the skill level of a character" this gives the Dionicio some sort of incentive to get Spyre early rather than at the end. It could also fit together nicely with the fact that he needs the Spyre as part of his winning condition. Also, I feel like I should point out that the Craftmaster is still a Mage (anyone who has a magic attack, correct?). I know you wanted her to not be on the Anama target list, but I wasn't sure if you still wanted to keep her magic attack.
  6. Oliver can only gain items by trades. He cannot be given them, and he cannot gain items by killing. He needs X coins at the end of the game. Solves problems 1,2,and 4. Not sure what to do with 3.

Otherwise, (considering how freaking strong he is), he'd have it too easy.
  8. Also, thanks to Stareye for all his time. This cannot be said enough. We sometimes take you for granted, B. But know that you rock And one last thing, PGLB: WTF? We literally fed you your enemies and you go and PM them saying "Hey? Is it true that you are the Micklebur and Rowen is the Priest?". You passed up an easy win right there. Great work on Sarachim's part in solving that mess (you are an evil genius). And Sporefrog: Thank you for your most sincere and forgiving heart

She's tough to kill (out of the four ways she can die, one kills everyone in the game, one may not even exist and is enemies with everyone, and the other two don't need her dead). And she can go around cursing people for you. The problem is that (despite how good you've gotten at disguising your role, no one had any clue of who you were) you haven't yet gotten the hang on how to form alliances (see: Ash's post). You were particularly hurt because your best ally (the Gladwell) got killed almost instantly. Perhaps Stareye should change the Micklebur's nationality, so that an Aimee/Anama alliance would be easier. Yet contacting the Anama early (before the Dionicio joined), would've still helped you. Another thing to keep in mind is that it's not just about forming the alliance, but to do so early on. Had Bain contacted me (and trusted me with his role) before Tarson, he would've won. Had Doomy contacted me before I decided to help the Anama, he and the Shanker would've won and the anama would've lost. (After we found out you, Rowen, used the wand of death on PGLB, we were going to Wand of Death you, and put boxes of traps around mine and Sarachim's house). And it just keeps going on and on. As per the "sorely hampered by the fact that Aimee has no idea who the Avernite roles are, and has no way to protect any allies or itself." bit, she doesn't need to protect herself (see above) and she offers protection to others by cursing whoemever they need dead or is planning on killing them. And how many of us don't begin PMs with "are you Avernum or empire?" to narrow down roles? Most people will tell you this pretty easily. I think I told you fairly early on actually. If you revealed your role to me, we could've been a team. And I could've used you so much (back when Rowen was aiming his wand of death my way ). It's good to be careful, but you have to take a risk sometime. It sometimes bites you in the behind, but it's the only shot you have at winning. I rather die on day one once and win the next time then lose both games on day 4...
  10. Let's put this thread to some use. The Anama has decided to target me with the Wand of Death. And so they have about 8 more hours to undo said action and send me the wand or I will reveal their identities on this thread. I'm not expecting the enemies of the Anama to contact me (I can understand if you see this as a trap), but I invite them to pay attention. My death on Wednesday, April 22 at 8 PM EDT should prove that I'm saying the truth. Check the thread for updates.
  11. Goddamn Bain with his two artifacts, plus a wand of death, plus the freaking box of traps I had tons of fun, even as a Bound Servant (who should really have some sort of ability). It was nice to see the Gladwell win once again. Next up it's the Anama! I agree with Stareye, props to everyone for playing much smarter. I'd love to get more players and more roles, but I'm not sure poor Stareye would be able to handle it
  12. It should be obvious that Ash meant he was willing to moderate up to 16 players, not that he was expecting 16 players to sign up. I'd probably take on Stareye's ideas. I'm not sure if you should get rid of all the items, but certainly cut it down to just a few. Needlessly to say, I'm in

There's no point in Gladwell having more than one or two servants, since he can only order one around per day anyway, and they provide, overall, very little benefit. I disagree. The Gladwell does have a lot of reason to recruit. Despite only being able to order a servant around, Gladwell knows the identity of all the servants. This, in itself, is a big plus. It's all about making the right allies and being able to trust them. The main strategy for the Gladwell is to lay low early in the game and send the bound servant to do your job while pretending to be you. If someone attacks him (possibly one of your enemies), he gets first strike and wins (killing one of your enemies). Once you have enough allies/servants, you can start identifying potential enemies (might it be with items from your allies or through process of elimination) and getting them killed. In a complete different subject, props to RCCCL for doing the best hiding of his role. He was impossible to read, while still appearing non-threatening and helpful. Magnificent work.
  14. Especially since he could have given her the Warding Crystal to save herself next day. The real question is why the Empire Spy went and targeted the Bound Servant when he knew for a fact the identity of the Machrone?
  15. I'd like to apologize in advance for killing Doom Warrior. It was the hardest kill for me to make as I really didn't want to betray you, Doomy. I promise to make it up somehow!
  16. I love all the new changes. The fae role is awesome. The only thing I see as an issue is the penalty for the Gladwell. It's too high. The role itself was quite overpowered this time around, but the 50% chance of failure + added victory condition should solve it. The immunity thing just makes the Gladwell unappealing, and considering that the Bound Servant can now target a player to find out who the Gladwell is and cannot be sent suicidal, being the Gladwell would suck. The machrone having to identify all roles makes sense and seems like a good fix. Great job
  17. I'm so sorry, Excalibur. It was all Sarachim's idea!! Don't ever trust him Edit: Go us! Great game, Stareye. Diplomacy kicks Mafia's ass. I had the most fun I've had in the forums in a long time. It was short, fun, a bit scary at the end (with the whole bloodmoon fiasco), and it rocked. Again, thank you Stareye!
  18. Oh wow. Do we have any questions?
  19. Meh, almost everyone can be an excellent ally as long as you can trust your allies. EDIT: Test... *i

I knew you had been around for about 6 years. But 12? Insane. Anyhow, My little brother used to play Geneforge back when he was 8. He was quite good at it. Although I was a bit disturbed when I found out how much he enjoyed killing the Takers and stealing their stuff.
