Oh. Well, when I had the unregistered version, it must have been one that hadn't been changed to the newer graphics. I had the demo from a CD my dad had, not from downloading it.

I was mainly wondering about the number of damage, and chance to hit things, as well as for magic and ranged. I always have trouble getting a ranged character to do much damage (In my current game, my ranged character does more damage with a steel short sword and no edged skill than with his bow, and he's at 11 archery) And I'm curious about what determines magic damage, and how sometimes it only does half of a certain number and such. And I've always wondered what chance to hit was all about. I mean, what happens if the chance to hit % is over 100? And does armor have a chance of blocking attacks, or just reducing the damage? I'm all confuzzled, and I'm also trying to figure out how it would work to sort of blend Exile with D&D.

I've been trying to figure out how the game engine works for combat. Does anyone have any help for this?

Quick question: I have the Exile trology. If I order the bundle for Avernum, do I get 10$ off for each one, coming to 30$ off of the Avernum bundle?

well... i was checking for about 3 hours yesterday to find a nice graphic... but finally, i just gave up. i settled for: 1 elven hunter 2 golden dirvish 3 elven archer(except he had a funny white aura around him XD 4 white priest 5 normal 6 normal

where i can find some custom PCs for exile 3? if you dont know what im talking about, open your exile3 files, go to Pcs, the bitmap file, and you'll see all the characters you can choose from. well, if you replace those with other graphics, you get your own custom PC graphic. now... Anybody know where I might find some? hrm... well, i found some, but not any of the ones i wanted... im looking for a 2 sword weilding human... and in some nice armor *yes, i tried google, but everything seems to think that Exile 3 is Myst 3...* MAN I hate Myst...

well, one thing for sure... MORE LIVING TOOLS!!! and perhaps make them weigh less... even in the demos, which is all i can use, there seems to be a massive shortage of living tools... so i tend to spend most of my points on mechanics, and so my characters cant use the things that i steal with the living tools without a massive penalty...

wont run... it lets me install them, but then when i try to create party, it freezes up on me, and shows part of the create party screen, mixed with the start screen. i am running it on win 98 and i have enough MB/RAM on my computer. the only problem i can think of is that its not in 256 color, but that never screwed things up before... EDIT: yes, it is a registered copy, and its the CD trilogy, if that helps, and i tried to run it in 256 color now... still doesnt work.

256. and this time when i started it up, no matter what color i had it to the screen of exile went black and told me for mare enjoyance to put it to 256. su><0rz

no, its not that old. ive got plenty of others that'll work and exile used to work, but for some reason it doesnt work now... and yes it'll exit, just won run...

on my sisters computer. when you get to the main screen, and click on a button, the screen goes all white. when i do ctrl alt delete, it says not responding. what do i do?

I have the unreg. version, and dont know what I should do now... I've done all the major quests that the commander gives you (romans and celts) and want more side quests.
