Please inform the board administration of this error so that they may fix the problem. Thank you!

    Edit:

refering to Kyna's post below - would be practical for me as well. Wouldn't have to try to peep in before breakfast to read posts.

  2. I'm not running XP myself, friends who do told me about this. I could give you the URLs of german sites where I would look, if I searched for such an update. But you won't probably be able to read them. Best option may be to go on the Microsoft site and search there. But please do that only, when you don't have too many cracks on your computer. Otherwise, ask a friend.

  3. Sorry, I don't catch your problem. I'm on Nvidia AMD myself with DirectX 8. Windows XP can cause problems, should you run that. You might try reducing the screen resolution, though I'm not sure, if that will help. You could also run a DirectX test, just in case.. But it is strange anyway that the Exile-Setup works, as it is the older one. I suggest that you e-mail Jeff Vogel.

  4. I have run that demo on a Pentium I, a Pentium II and my current custom made AMD. With windows 95, 98 and 2000. It never crashed.

Should you use XP, that can be fairly unpredictable at times. I hear that there are patches for a better compatibility, especially with older games.

  5. I'm on Windows 2000, which should not be so different from NT. You should be able to install a higher directX-version.

And try not to change the resolution. Whenever I do that, the outcome is catastrophic. As long as I simply overlook the option, everything is fine.

    On second thought:

if you go into the startmenue, you'll find a search option, below that a help option, and below that an exe option.

Click the exe option open and type: "dxdiag", then click on "ok".

A window opens with a couple of tests for directX. Do the tests and follow the promptings.

Though updating your directX-version will very probably be the best solution.
