  1. I've put 8 points to Build Boltflinger and have one level of utility specialization. Fortunately the points won't be wasted if I go for Turret Craft in the middle column. The turret seems to be very sturdy and deal moderate damage to enemies I've been facing (hard difficulty). 5+6+6+(2+7)*2 = 35 points is what is would take to max the middle column and get Wristflinger training still. I still have 17 levels to gain so 34 points to use.
  2. Is there any downside to killing Sulla? Would I meet him later in storyline? I managed to kill him by bodyblocking the exit during the fight with Ghorus the titan. I'm asking this because
  3. Thanks Lilith and Slartibus for helpful explanations. The skill system is pretty confusing. I've been playing Tinkermage for a while and using razordisk weapons. If I want to maximize my Wristflinger Training skill I need to put 8 points to Blade Training and Blade Craft both of which benefit melee attacks that I don't use? If I want to maximize Yankshot I need to put 8 points to each of the following skills: Blade Training, Blade Craft, Build Boltflinger, Wristflinger Training, Armor Craft. That's a lot of points! Will I have that many in 30 levels? I've also had hard time deciding which turrets to use. How much more damage does Razorflinger level 11 deal compared to Freezing Turret level 2 or Snare Turret level 4?
  4. I'm almost certain I already deactivated the defenses. When I went back to Core, those four crystals in the middle were deactivated (servant mind deactivated them). Then I went back to servant mind and asked it to turn off defenses outside. Afterwards the three areas were passable. Strange.
  5. Matt P's guide says that the three mines as cleared by exiting west from the Western Mine. This didn't happen in my game: - Note: I fed the servant mind at mine core and turned off defenses in Western Mine. Core and Eastern mine are eradicated of rogues. I haven't been to Northern Mine yet.
  6. I'm playing solo Agent without creations. I also spent most of my points on Battle Magic, Mechanics, Leadership and Endurance. Leftovers to Spellcraft. Having a breeze. This is only normal difficulty though...
  7. Matt P's walkthrough said that the Stone Circle pillars require Luck stat. I didn't have a single point in Luck when I had already clicked them all, so I didn't get the bone baton there.
  8. I'm surprised search returned nothing on this subject. "How fortunate you are. Helps you in many ways. Also useful in some special encounters." - Eh? Has anyone figured out the specifics? Does it change something in story dialogue? I'm going to play through the Geneforge series this summer. I'm in first game.

  10. Blazing Gauntlets and Firesteel Gauntlets are mutually exclusive. Both require Smoking Gauntlets to produce. Firesteel Gauntlets have +3% armor, +2 to all magic skills over Blazing Gauntlets and require Essence-Infused Iron instead of Pure Quicksilver to produce. Also Charred Skin Greaves can't be made from Sunfire Greaves, not that you'd have three Solidified Flames to begin with. jslgaladriel's walkthrough lists three different chances to get Golden Crystals and those are faction-specific quests. Your claim that it's possible to get Golden Crystals for all craftable armor pieces (7) is thus false. Please do your research ¬_¬
  11. I picked cure magic, but I'm starting to regret my decision. Cure Affliction is after-battle spell, as you usually get poisoned right after using it during battle. Heal gets outclassed by Major Heal later and there are certainly better Essence blessings than Essence Infusion. Searer on the other hand is one of the "big three" boss-killers along with Burning Spray and Lightning Aura. Speed is also quite reasonable pre-battle buff. I'd really wish the documentation would have some numbers. In-game description could at the very least tell which level spell you have and what kind of damage/effect it has. Like how does training Essence Infusion make it better?
  12. Respawning tough guards sounds like good place to farm your experience points
  13. ...and succeeded? Does turning this place hostile have any negative consequences elsewhere? As far as I know it doesn't actually lead anywhere.
  14. Kind of obvious question, but I'd really like to know. Is it mentioned somewhere in-game?
