Well-Actually War Trall The Ratt
I am wondering about the general opinion here, should Trakovites be closer to Shapers, or closer to rebels? Trakovites believe in creations' rights but stricter shaping, conflicting with both the shapers and rebels. In GF4 Trakovites said that the shapers were noble in their attempt to control shaping, but too much had already escaped. This made them seem like they are leaning towards shapers. In GF5 however they are much closer to the rebels. Do you think this is because of the new leadership of Litalia? Or would do you think the change stems from a distortion of their views because they were previously always fleeing and working in secret? Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
The Trakovite goal is incompatible with the Shaper way of life. The Shapers and the Trakovites cannot possibly work together. In their desire to overthrow the Shapers, Trakovites and rebels can agree. The rebels for whom power, canisters, and self-shaping is secondary really might as well be expedient Trakovites, as what they really care about is ending Shaper oligarchy. The drakons just don't work that well with anyone. The Trakovites really aren't close to anyone. They work better with rebels because the rebels aren't trying to kill them as determinedly or as obviously. That's all. —Alorael, who does agree that Litalia's history has a lot to do with closer ties with the rebels. She's a former rebel higher-up herself, and her original vendetta is against the Shapers.
