Burgeoning Battle Gamma EvilEye
In the lower level when you get de-geased, I have 4 characters with 16 lore and when I read the book it says I dont have enough lore. Also as a side note I read one of the books in anama once and cannot learn anything new from it even if I have characters who have not read it. Burgeoning Battle Gamma EvilEye
woops sorry my mistake I had to de-gease first. But the anama book that gives steel skin + mass heal + mass cure ( and one other ) only worked for me once
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
All spellbooks are set so they check to see if anyone in the party has used it so new characters added to a party or dead ones don't benefit.
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
I think it is just checked to see if you have used it at all. If you used it, deleted all your PCs one by one and replaced them, you still couldn't use it again.
Unflappable Drayk Toby-Linn
You used to be able to use spellbooks over and over again though....it would just tell you that "(character name) has already learned this spell". well that sucks
Unflappable Drayk Zummi
Well, if you reread your Mathematics I...do you learn Mathematics II?
Burgeoning Battle Gamma EvilEye
Ya i deleted all my old chars and added new ones, so I have a party completely of new ones and it still says "you don't learn anything new". One time only I guess.
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
Infinitely reusable spellbooks worked when spell knowledge was boolean: either you had learned it or you hadn't. Now that it is a number describing strength, it would require a whole extra set of arrays to track who had read what book. It would be messy, and take time to do, and it really wouldn't add anything. Deleting and replacing PCs is almost always a bad idea.
