Rotghroth Rhapsody Taliesin
One problem a lot of singletons encounter is painfully expensive Lores due to concentrating all points in the same person. However, my brother figured out an interesting way to work around this. When you find a book or cache that you can't use, simply create a character or two and devote their starting skill points to Arcane or Nature Lore. Then delete the extra characters when you're done. I don't know how many people already do this, but I thought it was a pretty cool idea.
Unflappable Drayk Zummi
But that won't be "naturally" a singleton since you had help from another PC, even if just for a while.
Garrulous Glaahk Pyro
yeah its a okay idea but... if your playing a singleton its cause you want a challenge (or your a masochist but thats a different problem) so why not just use the character editor?... just guess this way is quicker... Magnificent Ornk Student of Trinity
It's a lot quicker and easier to just use the character editor once to slam your Lore abilities up extremely high, so you won't miss any caches or spellbooks or whatever. This isn't any more of a cheat that creating a phantom loremaster at each tricky cache, and it's a lot less tedious. As I've urged elsewhere, it makes singleton games a lot less frustrating for people who want the challenge of singleton combat, but hate missing goodies along the way.
