Articulate Vlish peteralexanderjex
I was wondering if anyone had tips on how to deal with the -% to hit that comes from armor. I am so hesitant to put on anything thats gonna make more misses. misses = death whats the best strategy
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Raise your primary attacking stat as high as possible (Strength for melee fighters, Dexterity for archers, Intelligence for spellcasters); it has a much stronger effect on your hit rate than anything else. Also, body armour and shields are the only pieces of gear with hit penalties that you should generally be wearing early in the game: the hit penalties from other gear often aren't worth the small advantage they have over equivalent pieces of equipment that don't give penalties. Eventually your stats will be high enough that you can wear whatever and still have a 95% hit rate, but it is a concern early on.
