Fledgling Fyora ecliptic Posted August 31, 2010 Share Posted August 31, 2010 Bought this off of Gamersgate, regardless of resolution and "fast graphics" being on or off, the game stutters and then the GUI becomes unresponsive within a minute or two, even if I'm just reading the in-game instructions. Task manager shows the game pegged at 99% cpu utilization in this state. When I attempt to press onward and create a character, the character bitmaps (inside the selection boxes) do not display, the cut scene graphics before starting a new game do not play, and it freezes during the campaign start / generation load bar. Out of curiosity, I uninstalled this version, downloaded the demo of GF5, installed and ran it, and it worked flawlessly (just running the standard shortcut, not DX mode). 1) What do I need to do to get this fine looking game working? 2) Is the GG version the DX version? 3) Any way to make this not the case, if that is the case, or 4) some way for me to register the non-GG version?
