Well-Actually War Trall Niemand Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I remember from somewhere a lengthy thread which detailed the research a couple of people had done into what I recall being a rather sophisticated method for working around joined NPCs not running their scripts properly/normally. I thought it was in the BoA forum on SV, and I looked here too, but I can't find it for anything. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Quote
Kyshakk Koan tridash Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I'm not sure about the thread, but there was a script that's probably related to what you were looking for at the Blades Forge. Quote
Well-Actually War Trall Niemand Posted August 10, 2010 Author Posted August 10, 2010 Ah, that's it. I can probably find the thread now too if I look taking the date into account. Thanks! EDIT: To clarify matters: It seems that this idea appeared during blades chat (which I may have missed, at any rate I don't have a log from it), but the organizing thread associated with it can be found here. Ineffable Wingbolt Dahak Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Just remember, it was designed to allow a join NPC to use a script other than basicnpc so be sure to create a script tailored to the NPC. Quote
Well-Actually War Trall Niemand Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 Well yeah, that's why I want it. Who wants basicnpc? By using my own creature script I'll be able to have a character who's even more useless in combat than he would otherwise be. Quote
Easygoing Eyebeast Enraged Slith Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Would you mind posting the discussion if you find it? Quote
Ineffable Wingbolt Dahak Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Bit of a long discussion, but it can be found here. Quote
