Articulate Vlish Swivelable Posted March 17, 2010 Share Posted March 17, 2010 At level 33 (Infiltrator) my shield cost 20 essence. Now at 34 it costs 30. I never noticed an increase in essence cost in any of the other games, so I was pondering for an explanation. Well-Actually War Trall Acky Posted March 17, 2010 Share Posted March 17, 2010 Did you have any of the Magical Efficiency items on? The skill is only in Avernum games, but a couple items have it as a bonus, like Vampiric bonuses. If you had one on, then a glitch could have "superfied" the effect so it did more then it should have. Edit: After checking my own chars essence cost, it seems that your cost has in fact gone up through paranormal means, and it has nothing to do with items. Musta got my L and H confused And I guess the assault podlings can dissipate E shield. Hard to tell what they are doing to you on this shadow road.
