Easygoing Eyebeast Jerakeen Posted December 25, 2009 Share Posted December 25, 2009 Ward of Steel raises armor %; Ward of Elements raises fire, cold and energy resistances; but Ward of Thoughts has no effect on mental resistance. I suspect this is the case because in previous games, neither Prismatic Shield nor the mental resistance spell actually raised displayed resistances. Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith Posted December 26, 2009 Share Posted December 26, 2009 I'm pretty sure Ward of Thoughts does have an actual effect in-game. If the description in the manual is to be taken at its word, it gives you a flat 50% chance to ignore any mental effects, before any other resistances are taken into account.
