Fledgling Fyora TRYER
Hi I was just wondering is there something special I need to do to get essence (mana) My essence is not regenerating when I level up, use a essence potong, use a pond, or go to town. I am new to the game and I think I am using v 1.0.1. Any help would be grateful.
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
Do you have a creation you made with you? If so, the creation ties up the essence you used to create it. You can't have a full essence bar again until the creation dies. (You should be getting a small increase in the maximum amount of essence you have available every time you level up, though.) Fledgling Fyora TRYER
Ok thanks for the help. I do get a bit of essence every time I level up I think. So I will try to remove my creature first to see if that helps (save my game first)=P
Articulate Vlish Theophilus
So when you use a spell, you lose mana and you must return to a city.
Hatchling Cockatrice Quiconque
No, it actually doesn't work like that in Geneforge 5. There are 2 stats -- ESSENCE and SPELL ENERGY. Spell energy is like mana, and it regenerates on its own fairly quickly. When you use essence to cast a spell, you need to use an essence pod, or visit an essence pool or friendly town to get the essence back. It's the same thing when you use essence to make a creation, except you can't get it back at all while the creation still exists.
