Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large Posted July 6, 2009 Share Posted July 6, 2009 No matter what you do, it's worth playing the A1 demo to get a sense of Avernum at the start of all the adventures. A2 is the best of the bunch. A3 is the largest and is rather closely tied to A4, but I'm not as fond of it, perhaps because the vast majority of it takes place outside of Avernum itself. The surface is just another generic fantasy world minus elves. —Alorael, who can at least enjoy a game that has you fighting unicorns that are, in more ways than one, enemies on par with goblins.
