  1. I would appreciatte that kind of trainer, too. Not that I felt a completely mess in my point distribution, but certainly some polish to make them even better.

I really regret spending points in the luck skill. Also, I pumped arcane lore a lot for fear of not learning new skills, not knowing that some permanent traits and events make all the process easier...

  2. Yes, indeed. The party interaction was a brilliant detail. Even those little dialogs within the quests, depending on your actions or the companions you bring along.

I'm playing "escape from the pit" right now and despite I'm loving the feedom offered, I really miss the chance to have some recruitable fixed characters.

  3. I'm always tempted to pump some dexterity points in my Sorceress to make them more bow effective (specially with that cool bow mentioned). But... its just too much to sacrifice.

Anyway, probably it could be a very interesting experiment to play her as pure dexterity ranged combatant laugh I wonder... it is really viable? I don't see how that build would work in the hard areas...

At the end, when you discover the motivations and true meanings of your missions, I find difficult to stay as a rebel Hand.

Whether is true or not that Avadon is corrupt to its core, you have been thoroughly manipulated and framed. The scope of the decpetion is such, that seems clear that all the trouble and corruption has its roots on those interested to make you believe so.

Anyway... Avadon was my first Spiderweb game and I enjoyed the story immensely ^_^
  5. Maybe the Dhorl Stead case is the worst example; it was the only moment in the game that I had the impression that the events were forced. But the rest of the game I felt that I was doing something coherent.

In my case, at least, I felt that all the supposed corruption of Avadon was nothing more than the hidden interests of Avadon enemies (and well, at the end...).

  6. Well, I loved the Sorceress class. I always play "mage" classes when the option is present.

I had lots of fun with the area spells; she can do serious damage in the later levels. I've tried to play a Sorceress in hard level, but investing in the mental-status effect branch. Unfortunatelly, it was not as fun as the classic damage spells way smile

  7. I'm glad to see so much activity in these forums ^_^ I'm playing Avernum eftp right now and I've learned many useful things here.

I have a little doubt, though. The trait "Negotiator", as its explained here, implies that having 4 adds to the total %. Is that so or I just didn't understood it well?

Also, when I "buy" negotiator for one particular character, does that mean that only the character would benefit from the extra 10% when selling? (what I mean is: do I need to switch to that character to sell things with the extra 10%?)

Thank you! And I'm sorry if this is not the correct place to make such inquiries.
