Scripting-wise, Is it possible to replace zones with different ones?

Most things in a zone are located in one or two .txt files, so I don't see why not.

No, I had regular saves, but I saved over them before I noticed the save was corrupted. Oh well

Definitely a corrupt save. Yeah, you need to go back to a previous save.

I don't have one. I might just keep playing, I'm almost at the end, I don't really need any more loot or cash.

Now that I think about it, what actually happened was that I quick-saved, computer crashed when I hit the border of the zone, then when I reloaded that quick save, I got the save error, but it still saved. I guess loading that save was what deleted all the items.

...And now my junk bag is full of daggers named "Unused" and there are absolutely no items on the ground, anywhere. I also get Save Error 51 whenever I try to save.

My save is screwed, isn't it?

I know there's only a couple cases of canister rage, but I would like to try a minimum-canister run.

The steam saga has fixed some glitches. Or at least I think so. I read about people mentioning "creation str bug" but that doesn't apply in the saga version. I tried a fight in GF4 with all my strength boosting items (+8 to creation strength) and without them and my creations were doing much less damage.

Really? I know there's a unique patch for the GoG versions, but I didn't know it actually fixed any bugs. I just checked the Steam version of G1, and it is patch 1.01S, so I guess there's a Steam patch too.

Doesn't he get gold when you buy something from him?

You can buy some stuff from Dispenser if you have cash to blow, but depending on your character, you may not find his items useful, or you might already have them. Don't recall if you can sell anything to him, though.

I don't think there are any characters in 4 games besides Amena Blade. There might be another random servile or two, but that's it. I'm just trying to think of characters in both G2 and G4 and I'm coming up blank.

Issss-ta is in from G2 to G5, isn't she? Or perhaps only to G4.

The drakon at the Gazak-Uss gates, whatever his name is, will train you with Leadership and some rebel reputation, I believe.

If you're talking about the actual ability to shape Drayks, I believe the only person that will train you is Phariton, but you need to be unaligned.

You just download and overwrite those two .txt files. I believe they're located in Geneforge 3\Data\Scripts

Unless you're talking about some other editor that I don't know about.

There's a prisoner in Stormhold that'll tell you a little if you do his short quest. Other than that, there's what Rawal will tell you, which isn't much either. The rest is all speculation.

Neat. This is an easy way to find out what happens when you do certain unlikely things, like kill the three Taker leaders, but don't destroy the Geneforge or kill Syros. Do you have anything like this for the other games?

I know items that increase creation strength are totally bugged in G1-4. Is there no way to fix this bug? Is it hardcoded?

On a side note, are item effects hardcoded?
