  1. Thanks. Still not too sure whether it's necessary to help her on Dhonal's to see her at Gull. I also found that on Gull you can give the papers to Morgan and get the healing points, then tell Komoa that to her face, and she will attack, allowing you to loot the necklace that she was going to give you.
  2. In G3 there is this mage called Komoa who is always asking for journal papers that other people need, first on Dhonal's Isle and then on Gull. Is it necessary to complete her quest on Dhonal's to meet her at Gull? And does she show up again on the Isle of Spears if you complete her quest on Gull?
  3. In G1 and G2 I generally side with the Awakened, but in G3 and G4 (the two "shapers vs. rebels" games) I tend to stick with the starting faction. Basically, if the world is going to burn no matter which side I'm on, I'm not going to add being a traitor to my list of regrets.
  4. Thanks. I did some experimentation after posting this. The Magus Complex research can only be given out once, but after giving it out (thus removing it from your special items list) it can be collected again from the lab book. Doesn't really make sense, but whatever works. I always wondered why my character can't sit down and make multiple copies of such valuable information anyways.
  5. Does anyone know if it is possible to hand the Magus Complex research to the Barzites, then defect from them and complete all the Taker quests (which also include stealing the Magus Complex research)?
  6. The first time I saw it, I became convinced that there was a Luck check for taking the jars (chance favours the prepared, after all).
  7. Thanks. I read about the quest but somehow didn't figure that they were related.
  8. Hi again. There is an unpickable door in northeast Clawbug Canyon (if I recall correctly) that gives a message about the lock having a horn symbol on it. Does this have anything to do with the Taker's horn token? And what's inside there?
  9. Slightly relevant: by hugging the outer curve of the south gate of Medab when entering and exiting, it is possible to avoid the shop-locking event.
  10. Wish I was better at interpreting Geneforge code. I'm thinking of starting over anyways, so I'd like some more advice. How many points should a Guardian aim for in shaping and magic? And how do points in Quick Action affect the chance of double attacks and the chance to hit of the second attack? I'm quite puzzled by this because I've got 8 Quick Action, I'm not halfway through Awakened lands, and I can only recall having one or two double attacks.
  11. Thanks for all the replies. Does betraying Sencia have its own flag, separate from opinion? I assumed that it had no consequences apart from the opinion boost (though that would make very little sense from a roleplaying perspective).
  12. Not that I am aware of, no. I killed Beka in the Saltmarsh after convincing him to stand down, but I don't see what that would have to do with anything.
  13. Hi everyone. I'm now on my second playthrough of Geneforge 2 (pro-Shaper Guardian intending to join loyalists). When I visited Medab, I got the message "You may have a harder time dealing with them now" and got locked out of the shops even though I hadn't joined the loyalists yet. Then I thought it might be because of opinions, but using the opinion cheats (they are working, as the prices in Drypeak change accordingly) still won't let me trade. Is this normal?
