I have been hunting high and low for the Northern Avernum diseased mushrooms. There are none on the scuttler island and I couldn't find them near Bargha either. Are they in a Nature Lore-required cache (the other ones weren't if I recall correctly)?

Do you need to be on speaking terms with the vahnatai in Tenevra to finish this quest? Because I sort of made that not an option any more and now there's a gate I don't know how to open.

There is a location west of Cotra which has a highly suggestive location name on your map. From there, go downstairs and follow the trail of blood.
