I'm sure there's a way to read the script file that contains the info on how many you've used, but I've no idea which one or how to go about that. Perhaps someone else in the forum knows. As for me, I just keep a tally pad that has the name of the canister and the area it was in. That way I know how many canisters and what stats have been raised by them. I also know if my PC is going to go canister mad or not once I've reached the 'warning' limit mentioned in the Walkthrough. So, as far as the limit goes, check the Walkthrough. It's a good guide for all that... Later, Avid

The PC could just carry all the special stuff and sell all the rest. Anyone know if there's a 'suggestion box' thread that Jeff reads? I checked and couldn't find one based on thread title... All the 'to-keep' stuff is usually in jars, boxes, cabinets and (if waiting to be sold) on the ground, depending on where the PC is. If I take over a room, then I tend to get really organized, which is probably a bit obsessive. But, at least I can easily find a particular thing without having to page through a ton of stuff. LOL And, all the boosters for the anvil are in the same room as the anvil. (Wish my house was as organized as the game!) I sometimes think there's more time spent making sure things are where they can be found than fighting! Later, Avid

Although, my PC has left a pile that was so large I had to keep moving him/her a bit so more could be put down and nothing ever disappeared... well over 200 items including the 'stuff-to-keep' that was in the same area. However, if there's a worry, you can always walk the area and tote out all the rocks, trash, and miscellaneous items that you can grab but are worthless (e.g. capes, food) and put them in another area. Those things are part of the area's count; assuming there is one in GF4. If so, it seems to be much higher. Later, Avid

No worries about me being upset or off-put. Once I get through GF4 one time, guess I'll just have to start a topic entitled: "GF4 Q&A; All Questions Welcome". LOL Now... we're off to find Turabi Gates! Avid BTW... Avid is not a he! ROTFLMAO

  7. Whoa... Go away for a day or two, get lost in Illya Province, and look what happens? Seems our question touched a nerve. (heh, heh) Okay. Since everyone seems to be in a talkative mood, here's a Q for GF4... (Looked through past posts and couldn't find it by topic. No time to read all of them. So, if this has been broached before, our bad... ) So, here's the deal... Where the heck is Turabi Gates? The Walkthrough calls for that area right after doing Secured Crossroads. Couldn't find it. We've gone on as far as Dillame Fields, skipped Swamp Crossroads & Illya West Road by accident (turned two pages instead of one )and then went through Purity Workshop B, North Illya Woods, Rocky Point and Electrified Fields, hoping the mention that Turabi Gates was North of the Illya Safehouse would bring the place up to our south if we were working above the Safehouse. No go. It still hasn't appeared. Plus, there doesn't seem to be a stairway, strange alcove that magically opens or trapdoor in any 'worked' area that leads to these bloody gates. So? What gives? Is the Walkthrough off and it comes much later??? Or did we walk right by it with blinders on? Thanks for help from any person or creation out there... Avid BTW. The 'maps' link that LillBenny put out there no longer works or I'd use them.

  9. Oh, hi Archon. The post was a Q to Randomizer. #1 had to do with the inability to move a PC after attacking, even when there's AP left. Randomizer gave an answer about that. I was just asking if it was the same for creations. Thanks for the reply for #2, though. I'll try that. Seems odd that one would have to do all that maneuvering since it uses up AP. But... whatever. (Not complaining; just commenting. Avid
  10. OMG. Didn't read anything in the Help Files about that... probably skimmed right past it (assuming Jeff put that info in there.) Thanks for the quick get-back. This will help eliminate some frustration... thought it was a 'bug' or my 'puter had a prob. __________________________*****_______________________ NEXT Q's: (If you'd be so kind...) 1. Haven't noticed this freeze-after-shooting phenomena with creations. Is it the same for them? Also, what's up with this... 2. Sometimes if my PC opens a door in combat mode and I 'Space Bar' to a creation and want them to move through it, the game will say they can't move. This really is an 'obstacle' or 'door not open' response because they can go in other directions and the PC or some other creature can go through the doorway while in that round of combat. To fix this, I have to come out of combat mode (if I can) to get the desired creature through the doorway. Even more frustrating, once this happens to a critter, they can't get through that door as long as that particular combat situation is continuing; even if it's their 15th turn, they can't get through it. (Well, that's true 80% of the time; sometimes they can get through on their second or third turn if someone else has gone through.) Way weird. LOL Is this a ‘bug,’ my 'puter going strange or another one of those bits of data that I missed in the Help Files? Thanks again, Avid
  11. I know this is a bit off the subject, but I've been running into something odd with GF4 and I'd like to know if this is a 'bug' you might have run into. Consistently, during combat, if I need to move my PC, the game will declare it can't move as if there's an obstacle in the way. In fact, it can't move in any direction. And this is with plenty of AP in the bucket. Any idea what's the haps? This is my first play-through with GF4. Played all the others. (Yes. I'm running behind. But I'll catch up. ) Thanks for any help you can give... Avid
