Darn. That's a shame.

I want to transfer my saved game from my Mac to my friends PC using a USB pen drive. I copy the files over, but trying to load it makes the game freeze. Is there any way of doing this?

When loading a game I always try to either click the saved game, then press enter or double-click the saved game. Neither of these work, and I wish they did!

Hehe, forgot I'd posted this. This is interesting and informative... I'll have to do some calculations with the equipment I have. This is the sort of thing I was looking for. Thanks for your help guys!

I was reading a post by xerex asking what each of the stats actually did and I had a thought. Somebody said that Mr. Jeff the Almighty liked to keep in secret the mechanics of his games and finding out what the stats actually did was left to the calculations and experiments of players with far too much time. So I was wondering, has anybody actually done this or will they? Because I would be interested to know exactly what each stat did and how damage is calculated in battle etc. Could anybody do this?

Oh, that's a shame. I was kinda hoping for a bit where you get to visit the Empire. Still a great game though!

First off, a big well done with the new game! You've got the balance just right between open-ended gameplay and knowing what the heck you're supposed to do. A big pat on the back for Jeff! I would just like to know, to those who have played through it, how much (if any) of the game is set on the surface? ~Feline Monstrosity

It's not that I prefer Exile, I played the Avernum games before I played Exile anyway, I actually only touched a little on Exile and never really played it. I just prefered the graphics engine for the Avernums up as far as Blades of Avernum and didn't like what he did with Avernum IV. But if you say Avernum V will be better then I am pleased.

I am a big fan of the Avernum series, I have enjoyed playing them all. But I do have one complaint for Avernum 4: why did you have to update to using 3D sprites? I so much prefered the 2D ones, they gave it a different feel! Anyhoo, that's my opinion, otherwise keep up the good work!

I absolutely love the Avernum games, but I'm kinda stuck on Avernum 3 and it's reeeally frustrating! Basically I'm stuck in one area, near the Troglodyte camp (I can't remember the names of all the towns), I'm in a town but I'm stuck because whenever I leave the town I am chased by troglodytes. I cannot beat the troglodytes no matter how hard I try, and I cannot escape them. I think this is really unfair because I've done a lot on the game and I'm going to have to redo it all if I can't beat these darned troglodytes! Any help/tips?
