I'm contemplating a replay just so I can stock every last magical herb I come across so at the end game I can have that secluded mage (sorry, can't recall the name) whip up as many knowledge brews as possible. Heh... also since I should be able to know when a town has 'outlived' its usefulness (like Monastery has a role toward the end game... Formello is pretty much a 'once through' I believe) I would enjoy an all out massacare! ESPECIALLY Almaria... hmmm and now I think about it, I wonder what would happen if I took out the CASTLE at the end ??!! Is that even possible?

While doing a 'long' move from Spire to the west, I ran into a hidden room which holds the enchanted pool... this is a huge boon out in the Abyss. So I was wondering if anyone else has come across any other hidden points? I'm wondering if I missed any along the way to the Abyss!

Almost identical thing happened to me... was trying to let my acid attacks kill off the Cauldron Bones and I tried to keep my guys out of reach. With all my running around one of the zombies came pretty close to Mertis and this IDIOT Maxfield comes rushing out at it. Buh-bye to him. And now I have this quest for Icy Geodes which I went around collecting, which I can never complete. Ooh, if only that Maxfield could have risen up as a zombie so I could kill him AGAIN!
