It may be the lack of boats or Thralni's Orb, but I'm having a very diffucult time navigating through Avernum this time around...Could be the Geneforge-type engine as well I suppose, but whatever it is, it's making it very difficult for me to reach some places, like Erika's tower. Or whatever's left of it now.

IMO, it's a lot like acid. You can't ask someone their opinion and expect them to be right, you have to take the time to experience the game(s) yourself and decide whether or not it's worth registering afterwards. But hey, that's just what I think. And I'm usually wrong.

I agree, my party could have killed the Formello/Silvar shade way earlier on, if it weren't for it fully healing itself all the time.

I also asked for the locations of the weapons, it would make it a lot more convenient for me when it comes to tracking them down, as the NPCs in the game are no help at all.

Obviously there is no single 'best' weapon, but I'd like an idea of which weapons (swords and spears) are favoured by skilled adventurers, and where I might be able to obtain these artifacts. Any thoughts on your preffered armor, jewellery, etc. is also welcome.

Ok, so first they wouldn't let me through so I could get to the castle, despite the fact that I have extremely urgent news to deliver. So I figure I'll just use that secret passage I've heard about, only to find that the only place it leads me is right by the shade inside the city. There's no way I can kill it, so I ran away hoping to be able to simply leave the city via the western gate. Oh, was I ever wrong. All of a sudden I'm being attacked not only by the shade, but the citizens and guards of Almaria as well! If someone could give me directions to the castle that don't involve setting a foot in that cursed town again, I'd be very grateful.

Will Avernum 4 ever have the option to make it not full screen? I find it really annoying running any program that takes up my whole screen as I'm usually running several things at once.

I've downloaded the program needed to run the editor, but can't download the actual editor. Why? Because the download has expired, much like month old milk. Disgusting.

In A2, by the Giants Fortress, I've found a few pink ribbons in the area. What signifigance do they have, if any at all?

I remember first playing Exile years back, when I was still in elementary I think. Avernum, on the other hand, I only picked up a year or 2 ago.

Where are the different NPCs you can pick up in A2? I've tried looking at the Crystal Source and A2 Walkthrough pages but couldn't find what I was looking for.
